Play begins Wednesday at Orleans Arena
Good Luck Cougars and happy times at the NIT!!!
Hey Honor CodeDo you think your utes will even get an invite to the
NIT????Didn't think so.
Hey Pipes, do you think your cougs will even get an invite to the BCS? Didn't
think so. It will never happen. the MWC tournys were fun but no one cares about
WCC tourny. they even got downgraded in their arena in vegas. interesting.
I really do wish byu well in this tournament. It can't be easy watching your
team sink so low in your new and lesser conference than the MWC.This
just highlights the completely different paths the two teams have taken. Ute's
athletic programs are on the rise and will continue to rise in the elite
Conference of Champions. Byu's prgrams are on the decline and will continue
their slow decline into oblivion. Is it really true that byu has only
sold 1,200 tickets to the touurnament?! Why no fan support, byu?
Lets see....Ute football in the pac12, 4-5. Ute basketball in the pac12 6 and
forever. Pac12 in NCAA basketball, not one team approaching the top 25. Now
that's a conference of champs er I mean chumps. The John Wooden era is long
gone. Speaking of tournaments are the utes 1a or 2a this year? 61-43
Wow! A few ute trolls are in denial.@hc - I didn't know you were
the judge and jury who determines where teams go. If the Cougs beat the Zags in
the semis, they are in the NCAA. If Cougs lose to the Zags, it will depend on
what happens in the other tourneys. I'm not sure if you're a Ute fan, CSU fan
or Buffs fan. But I wish you would identify. Maybe you're not a fan of anyone,
just a Coug hater?@jp - This article is about BB, not FB. But since
you raise the issue, BYU will be in a BCS game before the Utes, if the BCS stays
intact. USC will win the South Div, 9 years out of ten. Your comment about the
arena being downgraded makes no sense. Every WCC game is on either BYUtv or
ESPN. U should check it out. You'll see some of the top talent in the West.@otis - U may want to read the article on ESPN about the WCC. Most
experts agree that it's been a great move. Please define "sink so low"?
Cougs will get another 25+ win season. Utes have their worst season in
history. I think it's the Utes who have sunk so low. The WCC will also send
more teams to the NCAA than the Conference of Chumpions. PS - WCC
is sold out, thanks to BYU fans gobbling up the tickets. Check your facts
before you misquote.
Well Otis, you would know about your team sinking low in a lesser conference
than the MWC. At least the Cougars are in a much better basketball conference
than the PAC. I'll bet I could tell how you vote by this comment: "Byu's
prgrams are on the decline and will continue their slow decline into
oblivion." Just saying it doesn't make it true.JP, what does the
BCS have to do with basketball? Think before you write, if that is at all
possible. And what's a tourny?
Sink so low? How many Pac12 teams are ranked this year?Just because
a University enters a conference that is allegedly better, does not equate to
better sports program. Fan support? Are you really agruing that BYU
has no fan support? How many fans show up for games at the HC?
Isn't it great that the cougars are doing so well in a "rebuilding" year
with only 2 seniors on the team. How many freshmen are contributing to the team
play? The next few years look like they will be good for the forseeable future.
I saw that the attendance at the Marriott Center was a seelout of 22,700 this
last Saturday and less than 10,000 showed up at the Huntsman Center. Wow!
I know it won't silence the haters, but I love that in a week with a loss, with
the Cougars sporting their worst record in the last several years, BYU still has
more votes in the AP poll than ANY TEAM IN THE PAC12. Now true, we are still
just a bubble team that really needs a win over the Zags (or more) to get into
the big dance... but it does feel good knowing that the conference that many
predicted would be a major step down for the Cougs has three teams ranked above
any team in the Pac. It's good to be a Cougar!
This isn't Last Comic Standing, but we appreciate you Ute fans trying to get us
all to laugh by even being in a conversation about basketball. When all the
team rankings on ESPN have you over 300, that doesn't mean you've gotten a lot
of votes, it means you're not good. Well I guess your ranking in field goal% is
299. That's something to be proud of right?
It will be dicey for the Cougars to receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament, even
with a win in the semifinals over Gonzaga. Injuries have depleted the front
line. Hartsock, Carlino and others have been dinged up or are totally
unavailable for play; i.e. Collingsworth and Rogers. The fact that the role
players like Winder, Zylstra, and Austin have been spotty in their play and have
disappeared in many games. The team is going to need all hands on deck, and
click as a unit to have any chance in the WCC Tournament. The team has been
plagued by slow starts in games. Maybe the neutral court will be a plus. Let
us hope so. Good luck Cougars. We will keep our hopes up for a March bid to
the big dance.
Ah look, Honor Code, Otis and Chris B are out in force. Naval Vet is sure to
join soon. Must be spring time and the long winter of Utah basketball is almost
over. Take a good look but don't get too close. These trolls are hungry for
any kind of a win.
Anyone thinking that the PAC-12 has anything on the WCC this year is not an
objective observer. Both the WCC and the PAC-12 are forecasting to place 3
teams into the tournament this year, coincidentally so is the MWC. Although the games are being played in smaller arenas for the cougars in the
WCC, the television coverage for its fan base has never been better. I was
initially worried about the gym size, but it hasn't been as big of a deal as I
originally thought. In the end, this has been a rebuilding year for
BYU and they are well positioned for the upcoming tournament as a likely 11-12
seed. You can only say Utah is an 11-12 seed .... in the PAC-12.
The PAC is having one down year out of how many?My fellow BYU fans need to
get real. We are in a cupcake conference overall compared to the PAC.
RobroyMurray, utahLets see....Ute football in the pac12, 4-5. Ute

John Wooden era is long gone. Speaking of tournaments are the utes 1a or 2a this
year? 61-43--Here again, a fellow BYU fan is not looking
at the overall picture. The PAC is having a down year. I would much rather be
there with UTAH than on the outside looking in.
Heard the Pac-10 is dumping Utah for Wyoming. It's their best decision yet.
@worf worfMcallen, TXHeard the Pac-10 is dumping Utah for Wyoming.
It's their best decision yet.Yep would be yet another conference
move offering a team that isn't BYU. LOL at all cougie fans bragging
up their B-Ball team. All it is another season just like football they beat a
bunch of nobody's lost all their games to quality opponets and still are going
nowhere fast. Wake up if you think life is rosey that or you truly are happy
with an average team in a below average conference.
2BCS Wins: That average team in an average conference would be #1 in the PAC 12,
which by your argument would be 'below-average' conference by virtue of the fact
that in the latest realtimerpi conference power rankings, the PatheticAC 12 is 2
conferences below the average WCC. Keep sticking with the Football comments on a
BYU basketball article. LOL1 Big Ten 59.362 Big 12 57.593 Big East 56.674 ACC 55.645 SEC 55.006 MWC 54.777

dude get a life. as for all you other delusional y fans, as much as you all
claim t have a better conference than the pac 12 ppl who actually know something
about basketball outside of your little bubble think otherwise.Last
