Who could possibly care if Karl ever watches a game or even gets a seat?
I miss Malone. Sorry Greg, you have nothing that approaches his greatness on
the Jazz right now.
If you want a lesson in "how to create a PR disaster" just look at
Greg Miller's handling of this situation. Karl is a loose cannon, and always
has been, but if Greg has a problem with Karl he should quietly give him a call
and get things settled. By fighting this battle in public he came across as
thin skinned, and immature, hardly the image he wants to portray was the leader
of the Jazz.
Just leave it alone media and quit stirring the pot for "your"
advantage, This is exactly what I comment about regularly, the media and their
spinning, hyping, and sensationalizing are responsible for a large part of the
discord in this country. This continued fueling of the Malone-Miller issue is
fact of that!
Poor Miller. Can't seem to handle the pressure of the big time, between this
and what he did to Sloan.
"Unfortunately, Malone wasn't granting any media interviews this time
around." Unfortunate for whom? Why is the fact Karl Malone got s seat
"news?" He sure plays the media in Salt Lake City.
This puts another nail in the coffin that Greg Miller does not have what it
takes to run the Jazz as his dad did.Don't be surprised Jazz fans
when Greg Miller sales the team.... to make a tidy wad of cash.
RE: Dennis. Harwich, MA- "Who could possibly care if Karl ever watches a
game or even gets a seat?"RE: Vince, the boonies, mexico-
"Just leave it alone media and quit stirring the pot for "your"
advantage," I echo both posts. For those of us outside Utah,
why is this even a relevant story? Very interesting to read comments from those
readers outside Utah and inside Utah.
Malone > Greg Miller
No matter how you feel about Karl Malone personally, the years he and John
Stockton were on the floor for the Jazz were they "Glory Years" for
this franchise. Larry M understood that and when Karl would have his tantrums,
Larry handled him with finesse and firmness and they got along, not perfectly,
but OK enough to keep the Jazz winning and making to the finals. Somehow, Greg M
seems to view Malone and a rival, a has been, a thorn in his side. I am sure if
Greg could receive a message from the "other side" Larry would give
him an earful and a kick in the rear for his handling of this problem.
imho, Greg Miller has gutted a once great franchise his father built- sold off
the best players and left us with a mediocre team who cannot win important
games. Why? because we now are stuck with weak point guards who cannot defend or
assist and offer poor outside shooing.
Great with Malone watching the jazz lose, I love it!
Dennis, Vince & So. Cal Reader ...I've got news for each of you,
Karl Malone brought the Jazz the closest they'll ever get to a championship. So
yes, it matters that he gets a seat anytime he wants one and it matters that
Greg Miller learns how to handle a relationship with Malone. There's
a statue of the guy outside of the arena for a reason.
Both are acting like kids right now, but I'm probably more embarrassed for
Miller than Malone. It's frankly scary to thing that Greg Miller is running his
Dad's company. Not nearly equal in smarts or strategy.
I think the main story here is the meeting Malone and Miller had during and
after the game. The problems here are NOT the fault of the media. The media is
paid to find and write a story, and Greg Miller is the one who made this public
and a big deal by tweeting his response to Malone. My problem with Greg
Miller is the sudden retirement of Jerry Sloan, which was obviously suggested by
G.Miller. I also hated to see Deron Williams go, maybe D-Will wasn't a Utah guy,
or maybe D-Will felt disrespected, either way it was Miller's job to work things
through and not just let him go for Harris and Howard.Miller also made a
huge snafu by not drafting Jimmer, who Hornecek would have coached and made into
gold. Jimmer would have also had the veteran mentoring of Earl Watson. AND let's
not forget that the Jazz turned their backs on Wesley Mathews, instead signing,
wait for it......Raja Bell. Now I love Bell. But Mathews on one hand and Bell on
the other, and I'm taking Mathews. All of this leads to a lengthy meeting
between Malone and Miller with both sides not commenting and I'd say this IS a
story, no question.
Get over "Jimmer" people and let his playing dictate his hero ship
with all of you wannabe's. Sac is a bottom feeder team and if he can't find a
niche with them just where do any of you think he would?
well this is more entertaining than the action on the floor
Malone Car > Greg CarSorry Greg, better consult with Mom and get
creative. You are losing the battle.Karl Malone is getting
"great advertisement value".There is a reason he is in the
Hall of Fame.
I imagine Karl straightened him out fairly easily. When entitled boy meets self
made man, the results are generally pretty predictable (especially when self
made man has lots of money).
Karl is a multi millionaire . He can afford his own seat. And Karl did not
bring championships to Utah. Stockton made it all happen. Any reasonable power
forward in the league would have looked sensational with Stockton.Karl's
specialty was whining and choking.
Jazz. A once upon a time feared franchise in the NBA.
