Fun game to watch. Jazz were moving the ball well, making the extra pass and
making shots, too. Hayward was aggressive on defense, making plays on offense
and shot well. His battle with Rudy Gay was fun to watch. Harris playing
better. Burks even played a few minutes. Look out, New Orleans.
Great game! With all of the dirt I talk on Jefferson, I need to give him props
on this one. He actually played average defense. (well at least he had his
moments). We all know Hayward can do this, so keep your fingers crossed he can
get into a rhythm. Bell looked good! C J bright one minute, and them stupid the
next. Harris continues to look better at the two guard, shooting off of screens,
then he does passing the ball. How can it be that one of your worst passing
players is your point guard? Everyone else played great! Team defense was one of
the best efforts of the year! And how many times did Hayward and
Kanter get butchered and hacked inside with no fouls called. It might have been
a season record.
Good comments. Yes the Jazz are fun to watch when the show up focused and ready
to play. How about Hayward? He is becoming quite the baller. Love the toughness
and effort he is putting forth. I hope the team comes out ready to play again
tonight. Go Jazz Go!
Total bummer the jazz won.
Not sold on Jefferson as the number one go to guy. He shoots double what Millsap
does. The best lineup would be for Favors/Kanter to be the go to guy with
Jefferson the second option. Millsap would just be the "icing on the
cake" inside. Harris can't pass. Look at his assists. He is terrible. They
need a point guard like D-Will. Hayward is playing well. However, how much
longer can you keep Favors and Kanter on the bench when their rebound ratio is
comparable to any on the team. These two are the "monsters of the
Midway". Jefferson just won't fit in the mix. The best bet would be to
trade Jefferson and go with the youth movement and the "heart of the
'Sap'". With the salary exemption, they could get someone very good. Beal
would be available in the draft with the right maneuvering. If you allow
Jefferson to dominate the team, you will stifle the development of the
Nice win. Good to see Corbin mix up the bigs lineup. DH has been overall
playing better. Nice to see Bell hit some outside shots! The difference was
GH. We need him to play at a higher level every game, which could have been the
difference of several close losses this year.
By the way, at the end of last season and beginning of this season, I viewed Big
Al as an overpaid black hole. Sometimes he still is, but you have to admit that
he is winning games for the JAzz this year. No one else has the ability to
score as much as he does on a regular basis. Granted he does keep and shoot the
ball alot, but I'll take his 50 plus percent shooting inside vs the sub 30
percent shooting of the team outside.
The Jazz put it together this game. It's amazing how much easier it is for the
bigs to score inside when the other teams has to take our outside shooters
seriously. Most of this season they have been able to lay off our perimeter guys
and focus on our inside players but they couldn't do that last night. Props to
Hayward for his great game. He always puts in a solid effort but when he gets
his confidence he is really good. We still need that strong point guard that can
score and defend.
Jefferson does seem to be passing more, but he is still the main reason the Jazz
offense gets stagnant. And, he is not a very good rebounder. I like that he got
slimmer, I like that he seems to be passing more (but still not close to
enough), but I would rather the Jazz had a starting center who gobbled up
rebounds and prevented at least some drives down the lane. I'd like to see more
minutes for Kanter. Oh, one thing not mentioned yet...Jazz were lucky Randolph
was out. That guy is awesome and always trouble for the Jazz.
@scalmani agree with you...i think Big Al si part of the
reason...why our wings couldn't produce...he dominates the ball so much without
kicking out...its hard to get on a consistent rhythm...when you get minimal
touches...I still think we are better...having Favors at C and Millsap at
PF...and Kanter getting most of his minutes as a backup...we could then get more
athletic sliding jeremy evans at the 4...however this would cause matchup
problems from the stronger 4s in the League...best bet is to trade Big Al and
Devin Harris for a Good Solid PG and a good Backup PF...the future may be
bright...but it wont be as bright if we dont develop them...and to develop they
