Sounds more like this guy is forming his own "Historical Society" in
order to obtain the permits.
I hope Vermont stands strong against Lofgren or any Mormon Historical
Society.The LDS Church has made many nice improvements in recent
years. The visitors center has been expanded, enabling art exhibits and other
displays. the campground enables individuals, families, and ward groups to stay
in rustic accommodations. what the area does not need is more of Utah based
museums or "gift" or hospitality centers. Look at what happened in
Nauvoo after the Utah bookstores and shops moved in. the locals including local
LDS were doing well. Enjoy the historical settings as they are.
