I do not know if any of you watched his speech today at CPAC it was the best
speech he has ever made. If you get a chance to watch it do. He even got a few
standing ovations during his speech. It is going to be a long race but it is
going to make Mitt stronger to go up against Obama if he makes it.
The race would be tough if obama were facing problems. As for romney, he's just
I think maybe it should be called "WAKE UP TUESDAY"How
can he continue to make verbal gaffes weekly and not explain himself better than
he does. It is no wonder the GOP is not coalescing around him. I wonder
sometimes if he would get better advice from TV pundits than he is getting from
his campaign managers.
I need an explanation how the flip-flopping Santorum can come out smelling like
a [conservative] peach after all the campaigning his holiness did in 2008 for
Mitt Romney. Check it out on YouTube: "Rick Santorum campaigns with Mitt
Romney for Mitt Romney in 2008"; "Rick Santorum Endorses Mitt Romney
in 20008".I hope this comment will be allowed because I think
it is extremely pertinent that people know the truth about Santorum.
It is also going to be extremely intriguing to see how Rush Limbaugh and Sean
Hannity give Santorum a flip-flopping waiver, and rationalize it away by
proclaiming, Well, Mr. Romney did this, blah blah blah.........It is
totally embarrassing that when these conservatives(?), Hannity and Limbaugh were
under attack by this administration, thousands of us true conservatives took the
bullet to ensure these guy's survived, and now they are no better then the
'drive by media' in their flagrant "blocking" of those of us who had
The Republican Party is such a mess. And this mess is playing into the hand of
Obama getting renomininated.
There was a little too much hubris about romney's campaign. This smack is good
for him, and utah.
We feel Mitt Romney could help our country economically but what difference will
that make if the anti-Constitutional "Patriot Act" and the
"National Defense Act" are left in place?
Watching CSPAN,. Mitt seemed to leave out many points that he could have
stressed that would have solidified his conserv. credentials. He did not. He
surely did not look as strong as Newt or Rick Sant. Both of their speeches were
solid, spot on as to policies. They do not look like they are giving up. And
they should not. The CSPAN presentation was very good for us who are real
political junkiies. No other NET gives the Pubs any time like that was and it
was very satisfying from Inhoffe, to Annie, to Connie Mack to the main speakers.
They were all superb. One thing was sure. Getting rid of Bama and his Dem Senate
and House reps is a must or we lose our liberties.
I have no problems with Santorum, but I do not believe he has the ability to
attract the independents. Mitt Romney does and would make an excellent
president. If they choose Santorum, I don't give the Republican party much of a
chance of winning the presidency.
The far right, the tea party, and the evangelicals do not want the Mormon Mitt
Romney. These people led by Hannity and Limbaugh will drive the republican
party right into the ditch. If you think about it when are Hannity and Limbaugh
most popular? When there is a Democratic President they can demagogue against.
They don't care about America, they care about making money and they are doing a
great job of making lots of money. Those two men and the tea party will be most
responsible for costing whatever candidate emerges the election. Good job Rush
and Sean four more years of President Obama and four more years of stellar
ratings for the two of them.
Senator Lee ran as Republican but sort of distances himself from the Republican
party. If he is a Republican then why is he running for the Tea-Party? He
won't put himself on the line to defend Mitt Romney, now that Jon Huntsman is
out of the race. He is holding his cards close so his next 4 years won't be in
question for the next election. If supposes Romeny will be the candidate then
he needs to use his special conservative Tea-Party to push for Romney. All of
the candidates are conservative, just what level is the question. The Santorum
group will go through what the Gingrich group has gone through. They will go
into debt fighting against Romney and put the Republican Party in question for
the General Election. Instead of spending the Republican Party money against
each other, they need to consolidate against the $1 B plus special entitlements
from the media and lobbyist that Obama has to spend. He has been using a
variety of agencies using advertising on various mediums emphasizing all that
the government has done to help us since Obama took over.
Didn't see Mitt's speech @ CPAC. Did not care to. Will wait for he & a
certain football coach to hit the fireside circuit.... or not! Ron
Paul speech in Minnesota, earlier this month, was incredible.
