If BYU loses to Gonzaga twice their tourney hopes are dashed. If they manage at
least a split they still have hope. Nonetheless, seems as though ESPN cast some
serious doubts on BYU's tourney chances. They have them in the "work left
to do column" in bubble watch. ESPN clearly and explicitly stated "the
Cougars haven't beaten anyone". Ouch! Hope the Cougars bring their 'A"
game against Gonzaga. Otherwise, they will have to win the WCC tourney or settle
for the NIT.This is a good reason why BYU's shouldn't have moved to
the WCC. The WCC just isn't strong enough from top to bottom. Because BYU
didn't do as well in non-conference play, they now have to suddenly make up for
it in conference play. Playing the likes of San Fransico and LMU will only drag
down the RPI. Also, there just aren't enough chances for BYU to improve their
resume or RPI. Gonzaga and St. Mary's are the only chances. Goodness! the WCC
doesn't even have their own column in ESPN's bubble watch. The WCC is listed as
"other". Sheesh...Anyway, go Cougs!
Just win...everything else is irrelevant
