Congrats Jazz, your looking gooood. On yesterdays game, DWill isn't
so great when he has an average or below average team supporting him...at Utah
he had a great supporting team and so he was great. This Jazz team
has an opportunity to be a great team, team...so to speak.
You put d-will on this team in place of Harris and this team is likely top 4 in
the West. Harris is finally showing signs of playing better showing
up with 7 assists. He has plenty of talent and he needs to feed them all. He
should not be shooting unless wide open because his shooting % is poor. There
are higher % shooters that should be taking the shots. Finally this
team is sharing the ball nicely and the defense is the difference.Strangely I think the absence of an allstar who gets all the shots is helpful.
It seems to motivate everyone when they can participate.Look no
further than Denver. Talk about addition by subtraction. Melo is a blackhole
on offense and is tremendously talented individually but he is a cancer to a
team concept and team wins. Denver is soooooo much better with several
well-rounded players vs one guy shooting it all the time on iso plays.
Final word;By next year(and maybe this year), this team will be top 4 in
the west without D-Will. They are currently tied with the lakers for 4th. D will
has not been playing well in NJ. He blamed the coaching and team-mates in Utah
and he keeps waiting for the Nets to add "better players" before he
puts his best effort forward(according to Boler and Harpring). Trading
Williams for Favors, Harris, Kantor(draft pick) and another 1st round
pick(Orlando) in the next couple of years was the best move the Jazz have made
since drafting Malone and Stockton.
