I agree with this report card...Go Utes! Take it to Arizona next week!
There is never a "one-man show" when you have a great run game. Don't
forget who opens up the holes for John White.
Well done, Utes. A solid effort through out and I agree with above that John
White had the O-line helping but holy cow, that kid can run. He runs angry and
he runs like he has been well coached all his life. Des News...I
would love to see a big story on John White IV...it is well deserved.
Good comeback after last week.. keep it going Utes!I wish my cougs
could have had this kind of success!
Considering Ute opponents load the box, and Utah has no pass game, the success
of John White IV this year is unbelievable.White is a speedy little
scat back (RB) with a ton of power and durability to boot. He is a special
player. With all of the injuries, White is saving the season from being a
complete disaster. Utah's make shift O-line deserves some props for
circling the wagons and dusting themselves off time after time as well.Still, the heart and soul of Utah's team is their defense.
Very early in the game there was a very well thrown pass from Hays to DeVonte on
a sideline go route that would have been a TD if DeVonte has not been coasting
on the route. Another long pass to Matthews near the endzone was broken up
late. Oregon State had been vulnerable in coverage previously this
year, so I suspect they didn't want to get beat that way.Hays can
throw the ball better than the stats would indicate, but once we were up 24-0,
Chow went conservative, which was absolutely the right call, the way our defense
