With Arizona state losing we are only two games back from playing for the PAC 12
title and a shot at the rose bowl. I love being in a bcs league.
Disappointment - Utah
Chris B,Give it up already. Regroup and look forward to a better
season next year.Sheesh.
Lazy use of the word Disappointment.Everyone expected a loss to USC,
so that's not a disappointment.Nobody expected Washington to be this good,
so that's a surprise.Utah should have beaten Arizona State at home. That
one is a disappointment. If the Utes had a healthy Jordan Wynn AND
they still lost to Washington and Arizona State, that would be a
disappointment. No excuses, but its difficult to recover from losing
a starting quarterback (as opposed to demoting a starting quarterback). When
BYU took out Oklahoma's starting quarterback, there were claims that it
"made no difference", but OU then went on to a 7-5 season. It made a
don't know why disappointment is getting thrown around there. seems like
everyone thought this is how utah's season would play out. didn't most people
tab them as an 8-4 or 7-5 team? welp, their 3-3 now so if anything i'd say
they're on track. you want a disappointment? jake heaps.
Dissapointment is not the word I would use. "Predictable" would be one
of them. "Expected' would be another.
The season is not over, and it is not over until we win them all!
I think most Ute fans are dissapointed with where we are at this point. We had
hoped for better. My evaluation is that Washington and ASU are better than I
expected them to be and while I expected at least 3 losses this year, I didn't
expect them this early in the season. However, looking at the teams we have
played and the ones we have yet to play, I'm optimistic. The teams we have
played are good and are proving that each week. They are among the best in the
conference. We can beat the teams left on our schedule so I feel like we can
finish strong and build momentum for a bowl game and going into the off season.
SoonerUte"If the Utes had a healthy Jordan Wynn AND they still
lost to Washington and Arizona State, that would be a disappointment."Kyle and Norm told us repeatedly through fall camp that Wynn's shoulder
was completely healed and the reason for his limited practice time was to keep
him rested; it's too bad the Utah coaching staff can't be honest with its fans
about the health of a player as vital as the starting quarterback. You can blame KWhit for leaving the cupboard bare and not recruiting a quality
backup for his injury-prone starting QB.
Uteanymous-His throwing shoulder probably was completely healed. His
season-ending injury was to his non-throwing shoulder. I'm sorry you feel
cheated that by this coaching staff though. They've only brought you 6 winning
seasons, including going 5-1 in bowl games and a sugar bowl victory. If you
don't appreciate this coaching staff, i feel sorry for you.
Ducky, Of course it's not the word you would use. It was a fairly
objective (another word not in your vocabulary) story written by professional
observers of sports, not from the point of view of a troll.
Hey.....but its good to have you back little brother.
@Classy UteRegardless how you spin it, there's absolutely no excuse
for lack of depth at the QB position. Costly mistake by a 'seasoned' coaching
staff.Need a clipboard, pencil and a chart? Oops?
sammyg and Uteanymous,So who do you blame for Jake Heaps failure?
What about all the hype leading up to this season about him?At least
Jordan Wynn has proven he can score touchdowns and move the offense. His arm
motion may be funny, but he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. I wish I had a dime
for every BYU fan who claimed Jake Heaps was so much better than Jordan Wynn.
Some were already giving Heaps the Heisman and he hadn't even shown up on any
watch lists. So be careful criticizing our QB situation.People who
live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks!
