The Whitneys are a great way to recognize quality work and to help readers become more aware of the fine literature by Latter-day Saints being published.

I'm convinced this awards program is one of the best ways to keep LDS fiction on track to get better and better. But it works best as more and more deserving books are nominated, so don't be shy about nominating a deserving piece of fiction. Besides, the nomination process was streamlined only a few days ago, so it's really simple and fast.

This is such a great way to encourage readers, writers, and people who love books. It takes less than a minute to nominate a book, and there are SO many good books out there by LDS authors that we might not learn about without people participating in this program.
