Problem is nowadays, so many of our youth even in the Church seem to grow up
with parents and teachers who are afraid of offending self-absorbed teens for
fear they might not attend Conference when it comes around again.The
answer for parents: "Reproving betimes with sharpness, when moved upon by
the Holy Ghost; and then showing forth afterwards an increase of love toward him
whom thou hast reproved, lest he esteem thee to be his enemy," just as in
President Pickup, thank you for your article and the timely reminder of the need
for us to listen carefully to the words of the living prophets and apostles of

from coming to church. Too many these days, (adults too!) would get their

What is truly remarkable is the follow-up given after the reproof. Leaving the
reprimand hang in the air without the benefit of explaining with reason and
love, is the difference between stomping and stepping.
