Rose Bowl 2011It's happening.Get used to it non-AQ
Pods would be the best solution for a Pac-12 because it'd allow the 6
"Western teams" (Utah, Colo, OKs, TXs) to play California teams more
often than an East-West split would. That means, Utah, Colorado, and
the Arizonas would likely be in one pod to help minimize travel costs for other
sports. What would happen to Pac alignments if only the OKs came
along? If only 14-team superconferences end up evolving?Messier.
If Bogut is smart he'll head to the Gold Coast... for anyone that hasn't been,
absolute Paradise on earth. Pure white sand beaches for miles upon miles. I
won't expound further on the rest of the scenery other than to say it only helps
further. I wish I could get paid to play ball there.Good luck with
whatever you do Bogut, you're a complete stud.
Chris, I hope that the Utes can get to the Rose Bowl as well, but Rose Bowl 2011
was played eight and a half months ago.
The Pac-12 is not doing as well this year....Can't blame Utah. They
are 2-0 in nonconference games, winning by an average of 40.5 to 10. If they
knock off Pitt on the road, then they'll have earned their keep for sure.Teams that have not earned their keep:Washington State, losing to
SDSU.Oregon State, losing to Sacramento State.Arizona State, losing
to Zook's IlliniUCLA, getting beat badly by Texas and HoustonColorado, losing to HawaiiTeams that have kept their end:USCStanfordCalWashingtonTeams that I can't blame

err, Arizona to OK State
Re: Chris BYou kind of sound like a BYU fan by making all those
statements you make.Just enjoy the ride. Utes would have to do a
lot to make rose bowl, including beating Oregon or Stanford on the road. Not
saying it can't happen, but let's not worry about it right now. Just worry
about the game against the Huskies,
Just a thought: In a 16-team Pac, which schools would Utah be paired with?
Colorado, and the two Arizonas? Geographically makes sense. But historically,
that'd be the irrelevant pod in the Pac.And, do you really think the
two Oklahomas and two Texas's would allow themselves to all be in the same pod?
Nyet! The final outcome of this superconference thing is really going
to be interesting. For both Utah and BYU, for different reasons, of
course.Neither might like the outcome.
No more PAC expansion according to Larry Scott.

major league blowouts to start the year 2-0, and narrowly lost to a very good
San Diego State team.Colorado looks mediocre for sure. But Hawaii is
decent this year... and remember the Buffs almost beat Cal.Washington got beat good by Nebraska. Wasn't even close. And they almost lost
to Eastern Washington at home.
