As one who has received a powerful, specific witness by the power of the Holy
Ghost of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I stand in awe at the great
work Mormon did in compiling this sacred record. My whole perspective on life
and the universe rotates around that singular witness. While the rest of the
world gropes like the blind for the wall---how wonderful it is to have this
intimate, private knowledge that God does indeed exist, and that he has a
specific work for the blessing and salvation of man.
One very interesting point about the Book of Mormon:The Old
Testament was directed primarily to the Jews, and the New Testament primarily to
the Primitive Church, but the Book of Mormon is directed primarily to us rather
than to the Nephites or Lamanites.
@Clifton;Yes, it's directed to us, but it's all about the House of
Israel, or Covenant People of the Lord. It's about honoring the Abrahamic
Covenant for all who come unto Him, Jew or Gentile.
I haven't read the Book of Mormon in a long time, so I am not sure what you
folks are talking about.
To noneck62: May I make a suggestion to you so that you can see where they are
coming from. That is to go back and to read the Book of Mormon again. You may
find the truths that lie within its covers enlightening and spiritual. You may
even find something that has been missing from your life here on the earth.
Good luck and good reading.
