    Funny that you didn't mention that Clyde was a major contributor to Governor Herbert's re-election campaign.

    @CHS85: I'm sure they both were.

    That's a problem? It never ever happened in Illinois and Chicago to be more specific?

    Sometimes we swallow a camel and choke on a gnat.

    @Rifleman

    I didn't say it was a problem? I'm pretty sure I said nothing of the sort. My point is that true journalism tells the whole story, not just the non-controversial parts. Journalists today are afraid to do their jobs, seemingly content to provide sound-bite stories instead of investigating the story and getting background information.

    Maybe there's an ethical conflict, maybe not. It would be nice to know, though, as they are now receiving compensation from public coffers.

    So "Illinois and Chicago" style politics are how you suggest we do business here in Utah? I thought it was always you who decried the actions of others while putting Utah on a pedistal of decorum and integrity. So which is it?

    Politics in Chicago make our problems here in Utah fade into oblivion. Didn't former Illinois Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich that went to prison for trying to sell a senate seat to the highest bidder?

    Makes Herbert look like a saint.

    You have a STRANGE concept of a 'saint' Rifleman.

    When compared with former Illinois Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich even you look like a saint. Trying to sell a US Senate seat to the highest bidder is standard operating procedure in Illinois.

    @ Rifleman: No one should get a pass. I could care less about what takes place in Chicago, except for the idea of can my Bears get back to the Super Bowl. In Utah we expect our politicians to be more than that. Unfortunately where there is smoke there is money burning in the chimney making that smoke.
