*'Jon Huntsman Jr.'s campaign manager resigns' - Title Psh. He's still doing better than Gingrich. *'Gingrich campaign
fundraisers quit' - By Shannon Mccaffrey - AP - Published by DSNews -
06/21/11 'ATLANTA Newt Gingrich's top two fundraising advisers resigned
on Tuesday, and officials said the Republican candidate's hobbling presidential
campaign carried more than $1 million in debt.' I would be happy to
vote for Huntsman... in 2016.
Why headquarter in Florida? Trying to distance himself from Utah and Florida is
as far as he can go without leaving the mainland?
I really like Jon Huntsman and would consider voting for him. However, the
reality is this. It isn't his time. He doesn't have a chance. I think he
could serve our country in many honorable ways but I think he needs to throw his
support behind Romney. My other option for him is as I'v said before on these
blogs, leave the Republican Party, maybe team up with a Collin Powell or a
Wesley Clark and run an independent campaign gearing their campaign to the
forgotten middle of the spectrum. Otherwise, save your time, energy and passion
(and that of those who support you) for something else or doing this later.
Well Pagan at least he'll get one vote, yours, if he decides to try this joke of
a campaign again. Huntsman, just think it'll all be over soon.
yawn, like he's got any chance anyway. Maybe she got tired of trying to keep up
with his changing religious views.
Time to cut bait and start planning for 2016. In American politics,
Huntsman appeals to moderates on both sides, and independents. That's a tough
spot to be in when you are trying to make it through a primary these days. Yet in Utah politics, he's a socialist liberal! He missed
his chance to come back and save us from another term of Hatch, or worse the
beginning of the Chaffetz reign. Too late to jump in that race now.
It will be a rainy in in you know where Mr Beal before Jon Huntsman or myself
will throw support of 'any" kind to golden boy Rommney!
It's tough to be included in a losing cause. I wonder how the poor
Chinese commoner interpreted the ex-ambassadors liesurely jaunts through Bejing
on his Harley. There is a old book which inspired a movie of the same name
entitled "The Ugly American" which Mr Huntsman should read. Mr
Huntsman's life has been privileged due to a foundation built upon his family's
wealth. We get a great laugh at our house when he tries to incorporate his LDS
roots into his public personna....However he only bear his testimony while in
It's time for Huntsman to resign from his campaign as well.
Jon Huntsman,Get out of the Republican Party. Team up with Evan Bayh and
become a 3rd party. It has been done successfully before.
Mr. Huntsman would not want Mr. Romney to win over Mr. Obama, because then Mr.
Huntsman would have to wait 8 years to run for the office he has had his eye on
for 30 years.
"Huntsman is barely registering in most polls. And in Utah, where he was a
popular governor, he trails far behind... Mitt Romney."This
really is no surprise.
This has never been anything more than an exercise in ego for Huntsman. He's
never had a snowball's chance of winning the nomination, let alone the election.
He needs to get out now and save himself a lot of money and a lot of
I'm sure this wasn't in his cards. If he'd planned on not pushing a serious run
for 2012 then he should have stayed in his high profile job in China and then
pushed in 2016. By leaving that job he put too many eggs in this basket, and
now it's all a mess. The China job would have kept him in extremely high
profile situations that would have enhanced his connection to the up and coming
China as a major world player...why throw that away just to have a mediocre run
Huntsman was a popular governor in Utah until in his last term he signed an
accord promoting cap-and-trade and accepting the theory that man-caused global
warming is a serious threat to society. Some of us do not accept that theory,
along with a majority of scientists who have signed petitions either accepting
the theory or questioning it based on a lack of scientific evidence.
Seems like Mr. Huntsman's ability to make "critical decisions" once
again hits head-on, the brick wall of failure. That's nothing new, lots of
people routinely fail, then fix what caused the failure in the first place.
Something Junior never seems to "get".
It is over, save your money John. Get behind Mitt, he could use your help and he
may have a good job for you like Obama.
Oh, Yee of little faith. It is true, that Brother Jon's message is not
successfully reaching the American populace. After scanning the above comments,
these replies/thoughts/musings come to mind:Why Florida headquarters?
Answer, the I-4 Corridor. It delivered G.W. Bush twice, failed to confirm Mc
Cain, but did confirm Obama. Professional pols know this as fact. As for
Romney, his fate will be sealed soon when Texas Gov. Rick Perry tosses his hat
into the ring and consumes all the oxygen in the GOP primary room. You can take
it to the bank, Perry will roll into Tampa, Fl. to the GOP Convention in Aug. of
2012 as the anointed one.Jon Huntsman can still be a factor, if his
message on energy reaches the public's ears. Hands down, he is the lone voice
with solutions to solve the energy and special interests bondage this country
finds it's self in the grip of. He has the correct policy on the travesty
called ethanol. His conversion of 95% of Utah's state vehiles to compressed
natural gas is the answer to our persecution at the pump.I am a GOP
operative, an Evangelical, for Jon.
ANY move to a third party from ANYBODY clearly opens the return of BO to the
oval office. Not too smart in my opinion!
I lived in Utah all of my life prior to moving to Idaho four years ago. I am 52
years young. I was brought up in the LDS religion. I do not practice. When I
left Utah 4 years ago, I commented to my spouse "If Jon Hunstman ever runs
for president, I will vote for him!" This goes against all of my religious
and political values, yet I KNOW he is the man for the job!!!Tammy Edge
