I think this is a very sweet picture. It's very hard on a family when a member
is deployed. The kind act depicted in this picture of this guardsman showing his
little boy that he is a an important part of his fathers life and will probably
be thought of fondly by the boy and father during the long deployment and help
them both get through the long months ahead. We need more sweetness in this
The artillery battalion from Southern Utah, the 213th Field Artillery Battalion,
served with great distinction in the Korean War. I also served there at the same
time, but in a different Utah National Guard Unit. We we were all very honored
for the notable service provided by the 213 FA Bn. I'm sure these men will also
serve in the same manner.

part to the U.S. Military, the joined out of their own free will. We are meant
to complete the mission at all costs, which includes deploying. Every one of us
signed a contract, Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, and National
