Look at the picture of Boylen, it looks like he is saying, "Look, there
goes another one running away from my program".
I hope Boylen gets the job. I think he is a good guy and hope he has learned
from his mistakes at Utah. It would also relieve the Utah basketball program of
at least a portion of that golden parachute.
Karma. What goes around comes around.Boylen should expect
and willing receive the same treatment he gave to Kryskowiac.
Mormon ute "he has learned from his mistakes at Utah".The
mistakes were with Utah. You don't build programs by firing coaches every few
years. You support them. Even when things are going bad, it'll work out.
Worf,Hmmmmm......Just like BYU supported Glenn Potter, Frank Arnold,
Roger Reid, Gary Crowton and all the athletic directors (too many to remember)
that they have fired over the years, Right? lol
Respectfully, what does any of the people you named have to do with the way
Boylen's teams performed, and Dr. Hill's decision.===Worf, how
do you "support" what Boylen was doing at the U? The program was
spinning out of control. They were taking time off at the beach while losing to
teams they had no business losing to.Mormon Ute was right.Utah is finally headed in the right direction.I too hope Jim
Boylen learned his lessons...
dutchman:where did byu come into worf's comments? always looking for a byu
tie in when there isn't one. take a deep breath and read worf's comments again,
then respond. right? lol
About Boylen and PSU, Pah-lease! Boylen will be nothing more than an assistant
coach, and a good one at that. He simply isn't head-coaching material, as his
time at the U clearly demonstrated. Also, about USC and the Pac 12 South, yep,
they won't be eligible to play in the conf. championship, but they WILL be in
first plast at the end of the season. They have so much they will show the rest
of the conf and the nation. Can't wait for the 9/10 game. Are you Utes ready for
some real, big-boy football? We'll see.......
As a Penn State undergrad now Ute graduate student... I just have to ask...
really? Must he destroy both my school's basketball teams?
atl134That was funny. You better be careful.... He might
hit your high school next!
So. Cal Reader | 5:21 p.m. May 27, 2011 Escondido, CA "Can't
wait for the 9/10 game. Are you Utes ready for some real, big-boy football?
We'll see....." Just like we saw the last time these two teams
met? Pete Carrol, Carson Palmer, USC cheerleaders, 5 game win streak, blah
Dutchman:Hmmmmm..... BYU owns half the championships in MWC sports.
Looks like good support to me.How did BYU enter into this topic?Veritas Aequitas:Going to the beach may have been to relieve
stress and catch a breath. Many coaches do that. Sometimes you need to walk
away to refocus.
The Utes couldn't be hitting the PAC at a better time:- USC won't be
"USC" for years with the sanctions. All the "we'll show
them" motivation in the world won't make up for lack of bodies-
Not playing the top two PAC teams unless and until they make it to the
championship (and in one game, anything can happen -- the whole reason for the
BcS cartel and the reason the Utes were matched with Pitt in 2004, rather than
against Auburn. Turns out Auburn/Utah could have been for all the marbles if
USC's title is vacated)- All their toughest rivals for the division
championship at home (as in 2008 when the toughest opponents -TCU, BYU, Oregon
State - were at home)If Wynn and the running backs perform, it could
be a good year for the Utes.
I miss him already!
Ah Coach Boylen, the man that brought Utah the no-pass offense. Good
luck coach, we hope someone comes calling so that they can pick up most of your
