I was toying with the idea of of getting a city creek condo but by the time I
got to the sales presentation the more inexpensive ones had been sold out.
Anybody over the age of 50 shouldn't be signing a new mortgage on anything.
It's unfortunate that this project has been caught up in the malaise of the FHA,
VA, Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Chris Dodd, and Barney Frank caused real
estate debacle. It seem doubtful at the present time if real estate values will
ever recover. I agree with USAlover that it is hardly the time to buy into what
I would think are inflated prices of the new condo tower units in downtown Salt
Lake City. The project was unfortunately late in coming for the developers.
These units are for the affluent, and are not in my opinion designed for regular
residency as a primary residence. Real estate holdings for anyone these days
are very tenuous. Vultures and speculators have descended upon us all over the
country feasting on the people who have gotten in over their heads. Many people
should think very seriously about buying into high new residences and at the
same time can't sell what they have. The market out there is terrible, and many
people are trying to put a pretty face on sales. I don't believe half of what
is being touted in the media, beginning with the economy, jobs, and
There are some fantastic views out of the upper floors of the Promontory tower.
Especially those units facing east and southeast towards the mountains.
Any idea of what these units will cost? Is there a website that gives more
information; i.e. floor plans, options, costs, ect?
