No room and board for you on taxpayer dime.

CANo room and board for you on taxpayer dime.----------Did you miss the part about a teenage girl being killed also? Is that funny,
Mr. Martinez and his teenage accomplice (until otherwise legally verified as a
victim) sought the end that they received. Unfortunately, for the
"minor" teenage female, she was not old enough to
"understand" the complexities of her "decisions" to
associate freely with Mr. Martinez. Let this be a lesson learned, hope the
deputies involved recover quickly.
Why was he out of jail? He kidnaps a very young girl, has a history of leaving
the state, and is out on bail? The judge and prosecutor who allowed that should
be held accountable.
Why was bail for Anthony Martinez's original kidnapping charge set so low? If
he hadn't bailed out the teenage girl would still be alive.
More info....why was the girl shot? What caused both of them to be killed? Was
he using her as a hostage, holding her to shield him? What's the rest of the
story.So sad about the girl...
Not pleased with the reporting on this story. Did an innocent girl get shot in
the mist of all this? That would seem odd they would have a shootout with a
criminal if he was with a teenage girl in the van? Need more info Desesert
News......As for you John.......Get a life
The teen ran off from her foster care home,As she got her Ankle monitor off!She also had problems all the time running away from home? They
been searching for these two for a few days now?So this is about the
story of Washington State Walmart store,Amazing Story yet sad story.
For those of you who want more info about this story type in the yahoo search
Port Orchard Walmart shooting and it will give links to the stories of what
happened. Such a sad story seeing that this girl was so you and missing from a
total different state. Her family and the officers involved in this shooting are
in our prayers.
Read the Washington papers if you want more information on the shooting. They
are reporting the woman was killed when she ran to the guy's aid and put herself
in the line of fire. No information on who shot her--the guy or the cops. They
are also saying the woman was in her late teens but no positive identification.
read the new up date,it supposed to be here thru photos.my sympathies to
thier loved ones in this terrible situation.
Fly with the crows, die with the crows. Its too bad, the whole thing.
I do look forward to the rest of the story. I wonder why they
hustled away the witnesses? Don't they usually want people to see and be able
to testify as to what happened? Something not quite right.
Couldn't happen to a nicer piece of scum!
To CJ Miles:Your arm-chair quarterbacking is what is wrong with
comment sections of on-line stories. If an officer witnesses a criminal
shooting at his partner, especially in a crowded shopping center, it makes sense
to return fire and eliminate the threat. Unfortunately, it sounds like the girl
made a poor decision to get into the line of fire. Bad things happen when bad
people do bad things. Please don't imply the officers were at fault.
This was the result of very poor judgement by the man, his criminal activity (on
many levels), and the girls personal decisions. The officers were simply doing
their job and were shot by this hoodlum in the process.
If the girl had her monitor removed and she ran to his aide, was she kidnapped
or a runaway? Had she communicated with him before this? Sounds like a lonely
girl who was loving the attention of an older man. I could be wrong, but this
could have been a totally different girl, maybe the teen is still being held
Carman....Who implied the officers were at fault? When I made my comment
yesterday, this was not the story I commented on. It has been updated to the
current story with more facts. Yesterday, there were no facts to the shooting
of the teenager. And you are incorrect, an officer would never fire
into a crowded mall full of innocent people unless he was 100% sure he could
shot the gunman without harming innocent by-standers. Talk about arm-chair
quarterbacking!! Where do you get these ideas? Off of xbox?
Just so everyone is clear the officers didnt fire into a packed parking lot. The
area of the parking lot where the one officer fired was a little side road to
the parking lot where Mr. Martinez was running away towards the woods. Mr.
Martinez however did shoot into the parking lot where there were people. Luckily
the 3rd officer showed up or who knows who else could have gotten hurt by
Mr.Martinez since the 2 officers chasing him were already down and injured. the
sad part IS that the teen girl ran into the line of fire exchange as she saw
Mr.Martinez get hit and got hit herself. And my heart goes o ut to her family.
But to anyone that questions the situation our officers were faced with, well
you're not very bright. Those officers did their job & protected our
community. you wouldn't be questioning their response had it happened in your
little town as you were trying to go shopping with your children!
Cops everywhere need to stop pushing their bravado. They come on so strong that
they elicit fear--especially so with individuals who have had a previous
negative encounter. Law enforcement needs to back off and do more talking.
Communication skills need to emphasized as strongly as firearm proficiency. The
current abrasive, abrupt commands and body posturing is dangerous for both the
officers and the public.
