Why does the media keep pushing this compact? It aint going to fly. The
american people are tired of paying for a free ride (health care, free food etc.
etc.) for the illegals, while having their wages suppressed. All, so the fat
cats can have cheap labor, and the demos getting the votes. Believe me, people
are tired of it. It showed last november and it will show the next election
The Compact is just window dressing. They will push the agenda forward but in
the long term they may win out. Yes we are tired of it. Hope Utah Legislature
does something about it. Go Sandstrom
Now if we could actually get some of these groups to help the Feds figure out
how to enforce our laws, that would be great.... rhetoric is nothing more
We need to get past the excuse of it being a civil offense. It's still a crime.
The fact that the US government prefers to deport people in a civil court,
instead of giving them a fine and jail time in a criminal court is irrelevant.
It's a crime. I doubt the politicians need to be reminded that there
are Hispanic voters. Should that make a difference on how we enforce our laws?
Other than the liberal New York times article, The Utah compact gets
very little attention outside of Utah. People see it as it as a ploy to stop
immigration enforcement. We need honesty and transparency in the
illegal immigration debate. People are here illegally, they are not
undocumented, their documents were given to them by their country. The Compact
signers are mostly far left liberals, many support open borders between the US
and Mexico. It's intention is to sway public opinion towards amnesty. All we want is enforcement of our laws, that is not asking to much.
I can't understand why some Hispanics continue to nurture allowing people of
their ethnicity to break the law.Whether it is merely being in this
country illegally or committing fraud by stealing someone elses
identification,it casts a long and dark shadow on the legal Hispanics
whocondone and support it.
I believe most states are facing budget deficits and are looking to cut services
and other budget items to balance things out. How can any state justify
spending millions to subsidize the presence of non-citizens who are illegally
here?Politicians and pundits were outraged at the whistle blowers
who exposed "the list" last year, but where is the outrage that so
many illegal aliens are receiving taxpayer money ahead of citizens? How can
Utah propose cutting back on medical services to the poor while continuing to
pay millions to subsidize in-state college tuition for illegals? This is even
more wasteful because educated or not, an illegal is barred from working. I just read the article about the crumbling prison in Draper. If Utah
does intend on being the illegal alien Mecca, it had better be prepared for the
rise in crime and build additional jail/prison space.
Yet another Compassionate display of affection by the DNEWS to its Latino
base..the real truth....?These Mexican GOPers sound like
another version of RINO's...I thought we got rid of Bob Bennett~!
