This compact means nothing. it does not hold water. The peoples voice will eventually be heard. It started last november and it will continue when we vote again. We need to seal the borders, this just cant continue. We cannot afford to pay the health care, education, etc. etc. for the people of the world. Many of us are veterans and we gave alot for our country, now we expect our country to take care of us an uphold the law.

The compact is a public relations piece that does nothing to address illegal immigration. It's carefully chosen use of immigration removes any value it may of carried to help the problem.

We must insist that we must separate the legal immigration from illegal immigration if we are going to get anywhere.

Georgia has a bills similar to the Arizona bill, the pro-illegal folks are using Utah's compact to fight it.

I don't see illegal immigration as undocumented workers. Those that come here legally are looking for citizenship. Those who come here illegally are looking for jobs. I think the name of undocumented visa worker fits much better, because a visa worker comes just for the job also, then leaves once it is done, or their time is up.

This compact did absolutely nothing. Its creators applaud themselves for a job well done. But nothing was done. That's a fact.

    My response?

Go blow your horn somewhere else. I'm weary of listening to a few self-applauding phonies who put their own interests ahead of the rule of law, national security, American sovereignty, the indivisible one nation.

There's money and power to be made--and that's all that matters to them. And they're hoping that the ignorant masses will succomb to their propoganda.

I agree that the peoples voice will be heard eventually.
My bet is there are more Utahans for the compact, then those who are siding with Sandstrom.
Will you be able to live with the voice, and vote of the people?

All I am seeing at the link is a web page for an immigration law firm.

Is it just me, or has this world really gotten ugly?

This joke of a bill will never get wings because U. S. citizens are tired of rejects from other nations stealing our children's education and healthcare.

Dont bet the farm on your ideas. Most people are tired of footing the bill so the demos can hopefully gain votes, and some repubs can supply cheap labor for their friends. The people are tired of it all and they voted accordingly last november and will do again.

So if illegal immigration is actually good for the economy, as pointed out in this article, should we consider eliminating felonies in general?
