LOVE Eric D!
I send all my family to Eric's "place". My "taste" in genre do not always agree
with his tastes... but my funny-bone is filled to the brim and he always reports
the movies accurately. I adore reading his written word!
"BYU humorist"? Is that one of those OxyMormons? (Sorry, Sunstone).
@Byron:It's hard to believe, I know, but he did manage to write for
BYU's paper and be funny. You should check out his site and look at the old
stuff (especially the ones that inspired angry letters). I wish we still had
someone like Eric at BYU.
That's my boy!
I've known Eric since the BYU days and consider him one of my best friends
today. I'm glad that he followed me to Portland so I still get to have lunch
with him on a regular basis. Great article and a fine summary of the man.
Depression is often what happens when someone isn't successful at dealing with
something difficult in their lives. I hope his humor helps him come to terms
with whatever that is successfully.
Or, Mike, I don't know, depression could also be a a result of brain chemistry
not producing the right alchemy instead of unresolved external issues.
