Sweet! I think it's awesome we have that talented & highly regarded rookie PG
to get some good seasoning playing time while DWill recuperates. Oh wait.
Aren't we glad we got rid of Maynor to save a couple million? With D-Will out,
we are headed to the lottery fast.
It looked to me like he hurt his wrist in the Minnesota game... this probably
just made it worse.
Deron, sit out a few games!! Maybe the team will respond without you like they
did the last time you sat out? If you are the best player the jazz have, why is
CJ taking more shots than you? who is your coach? I doubt Kobe would take that
if some scrub was taking more shots than him. D-wade no way. Deron you need a
coach that will motivate you to shoot more and become the Jazz's Wade,Kobe, or
Lebron. Instead of Sloan's stupid offense designed to have scrubs shoot the ball
how about we get you 15-20 shots a night period. Take some time off, forget
that the Jazz can do right now is to start trading good players and contracts
for worse players and contracts. The Harp/Maynor trade was a
calculated risk with unintended consequences. The Sloan inside offense has
collapsed. I think it is because teams with a good inside defense can overwhelm
it due to a lack of outside shooting. Maynor could run the PG with DWill at SG
and provide outside shooting. If DWill is down or less than full
strength that will also negate the inside offense and hurt the outside shooting.
Price is fine for a 3rd string insurance player but he is not a
starting PG. The Jazz have gambled on not getting an injury to DWill
and lost. They now need a real PG and more outside shooting. My
feeling is that changes need to be made to the offense. The Jazz need an offense
that the current players can run. Sloan adjusted last year when Millsap replaced
Boozer. He needs to adjust again. His inside offense can not be
implemented by the current players due to defensive adjustments by opponents.
Losing DWill just piles another spike into the coffin.
deron is a warrior& should play IF the MRI goes well. should be. he just misses
a game when he cant walk - ankle usually. cmon deron, prove me right. i know you
will. not only will you play, you'll play very well& win. you'll make your team
better. dont lose faith in your teammates& continue to lead by example. it's
stilll a long season. who else can bring out the best in your teammates? YOU.
"The Jazz need an offense that the current players can run."The Jazz
can run it and when they do the annihilate teams!!The problem is
that these sissy players are so mentally weak they don't care about losing.
They are all more concerned about their contracts, their stats, and "their
shots". Selfish bunch of sissies--D-Will included. He has the same
or better talent this year as last, with less injuries, and yet Derons stats are
better and the team is on pace TO LOSE MORE GAMES THAN LAST YEAR????That pretty much tells you what our supposed leader/Allstar Deron has on his
mind. He is more concerned about his own STATS than making the players on his
team perform at a higher level to win games.Deron is not making
anyone on this team perform better. They are all declining. Is that
what a good leader does?
Lets see, who can pick up the pieces. How about this for a lineup to start
tomorrow:Paul Milsap - ForwardKyrylo Fesenko - CenterWes
Matthews - Shooting GuardRon Price Point andRon Brewer at Small
Forward. Then at the 11 Minute mark put in Okur, Boozer, and AK
leaving in Price and Matthews. Then pull Price, Boozer and Okur and put in
Fesenko and Milsap at the 5 minute mark of the 2nd quarter. This
suggestion makes as much since as being 15 points ahead at the 8 minute mark of
the first quarter last night and pulling D-Will, Boozer, CJ. and Okur and
suddenly being overrun.Whose idea was that????What a Dream Team or is it a Nightmare.
but Deron is a big part of the problem. He can't defend fast point guards.
Walks up the ball way too much to conserve energy but then the offense is in a
funk. Plus way too many turnovers. And he seems to be a bit of a negative.
Still love his game but let's not think he's infallible.
Actually you are very wrong. The players are trying to run the offense. The
offense is now like a rotting fish. It has been negated by a shift in NBA
defense style. Sloan has not adjusted. Most team do not make
specific adjustments for each team they play. They just run their normal routine
with a few tweaks and hope it works. The NBA defenses are shifting in
ways that the average NBA defense can now over power the Jazz offense with
little adjustment. The problem is Sloan. That is why there is a
pattern. Sloan has lost for decades on the road due to weaknesses in his
offense. Now he is losing at home as more teams can destroy it. You
can change players but the results will not get a lot better over the long run
unless Sloan makes adjustments that work. The Jazz need a new or at
least a modified approach. They probably need a coach who can tweak
the current approach and get the best play out of MOST of the current players.
Panic trading is not an answer. A new coach who can
adjust would probably save the season.
let him sit and get some energy out there
Always crying and overreacting everytime he gets knocked down. Leaders get mad
and take it out on the other team. Not DWILL he just cries.I say
rest DWILL for the season get as many ping pong balls as possible and draft JOHN
WALL. Now that is a type of player we have never seen in UTAH.But he
will need a new coach other wise we will never know how athletic JOHN WALL is.
Fine Sloan, put him IN TOMORROW HAVE PRICE START AND GET GAINES IN TO GET FEET
WET, IF HE CAME HERE TO SIT, NOT WORTH IR
The Jazz PR department is in full swing these days. Here is what is going on.
The Jazz screwed up with AK's and Boozer's big contracts. They know it! They
have finally came to the conclusion that no amount of tinkering and small
changes are going to get them out of it. They have two choices! Stick with it
and try to complete for maybe the 7th or 8th playoff position ( very likely
emlimination in the 1st round even if they make the playoffs) or unload them,
but nobady wants them for that money, so the Jazz have to give up more talent
than they will receive in return. Maynor was just the tip of the iceburg
compared to what may happen! So at this point of the season we are seeing
articles like the season is over, D-Will is hurt, everybody is trade bait. Stop
teasing us, pull the trigger and get it over with. It is time to gut this team
and start over. Sure the Jazz would like to keep Williams to build around, but
even he is trade bait. Your own pick will likely be higher than the Knicks.
tank this garbage season and hope for the number one draft pick (likely 'Wall'
from Kentucky). After they draft 'Wall' they need to trade the soft,
turnover-machine (AKA D-Will) away for other picks or a decent center; he is not
a leader. Loozer will be off the books after this year, Brewer too,
'Bum-Knee...er...Korver' also and M-16/"Free-pass" (aka AK-47) won't be far
behind. There would still be a good nucleus even without those
clowns. I think it would be a shame to let Matthews get away, Milsap is
serviceable at the 4 spot, Fes should start over Okur and I think there might
still be hope for CJ.Under this scenario next years' starting
line-up could be:1: Wall2: Matthews3: CJ4:
Milsap5: FesenkoBench: Price, Koufos, AK (final year), Okur,
2nd rd. pick, extra 1st rd. pick (in lieu of D-Will trade) and a mid-level free
agent. This starting lineup is athletic, will play defense, has a
potential shot-blocker and OMG have you seen 'Wall' play??? The dude is a
straight-up killer and a leader! Make this happen Jazz!
Deron should sit out the rest of the season, we all know that there is no chance
of the Jazz getting out of the first round. If we have a hungry, healthy DWill,
cap space, two lotto picks to either trade or use, we'll have at least a
different team and they'll get at least as far as the first round.Do it!
Remember the Alamo!!!
D-Will seems to miss a lot of practices: "personal"; "flu"; "wrist"; etc. I
can't help thinking that it's a negative impact on the team. How can they work
out the bugs? Is this why he continues to walk to ball up the court? How do the
other's feel about practice when their marquee player is gone all the time.
Wasn't it Stockton and Malone who were the first to the gym and the last to
leave? D-Will's lack of muscle definition pales in comparison as well as
indicates he's rarely pumping iron. Do Jazz player still get on the bike when
they don't play as much in the game? When was the last time the Jazz "blew
out" an opponent? No Leadership and No toughness! CP3 should be
wearing a Jazz uniform; Williams is just soft!
Jerry Sloan will NOT quit(resign). There has never been any quit in this man in
his entire life and it won't start now. It's up to you to tell Sloan and
O'Connor that you want to move in another direction and leave neither of them
any choice! Your the payor not the payee. God will still love you and it's not
as if the world will come tumbling down if you change your direction with this
team! Look what has happened at Sacramento, Memphis, Oklahoma City and Charlotte
with coaching changes! Why not here?
