...and still Boozer will get no love from the Jazz faithfull. Good for Boozer, I
don't think this will be his last POW for the season.
As much as I hate to say it, but the Jazz need to trade Boozer now. He is on a
tare and is stock will never be higher. When the Jazz gave Okur that ridiculous
extension they officially closed the door with Boozer. How about a Boozer
for Caron Butler?
What? From our Boozer? This is awesome! I have been skeptical I
admit, but if he is willing to show some heart, than I am more than willing to
give some love.Good job Boozer, here's to many more this year.
Trade Him. Millsap and his foul prone defense and his 6'6" frame are way better
About time Booz, just reminds me of the days you played for Duke All-American
team and NCAA Title Team. Lets just keep it up for your current team and Help
them get to atleast the Western Conf. or Finials
Without Boozer, we would be the Utah Nets of the West.
That way your trade value will be worth something come next month. If he stays
until the end of the season we get nothing fans. Trade him anytime between now
and the deadline Kevin.
I am officially on the Booz bandwagon again, good job Booz! However, I'll bet
that if any other Jazz player was named WC player of the week, you'd see a lot
more supportive posts. Goodluck Jazz you are going to need it. I haven't looked
at the teams they play on their pre-xmas road trip but they may be lucky to
still be above .500 when that's all said and done. Despite the AK
haters on this site, you see what kind of defense this team plays when he's not
in the line up, terrible defense!!
Time to bury the feelings. Boozer's comments are water under the bridge. The
Jazz need Boozer. Unless they can trade him for another low post guy, we need
him. Millsap is not the answer, although I love him on the team. He fits his
role perfectly. Yes Booz has a big ego, they all do. Who cares. We need talent.
I have been just as mad as the next guy at Booz, but let's be realistic, he's
good. He fits our system and we need a guy like that. The Jazz are crazy to
think they will be better without him unless they replace his position with
equal talent. Millsap is a great hustler, rebounder, etc, but he is not
equivalent to Boozer as a player. As a person, yes. Far better. But not as a
player. How can anyone think letting a 20-10 guy go will make our team better? I
know he is an egotistical punk, but he can flat play.
Did you all forget we are way over the cap. Trading Boozer would mean taking on
just as much salary for a longer period. We would have to receive a proven
allstar to make it worth it in a trade. Boozer is more valuable by walking at
the end of the year. Trading Memo would make more sense.
Good job Booze. Now maybe you could try for some defensive player honors. Go
Thank you! People need to realize that Milsap isn't a starting PF. He can't put
up numbers like Boozer can. Honestly, we need a center. a true center that can
play down low. If we had someone like Tyson Chandler, D-Will could throw lobs to
him all day like Chris Paul did. That's what we're lacking.
CONGRATS CARLOSIts great to see your legs under you. and playing the way
you are.Playing d the way you know you should and are capable of. Keep
holding your teamates accountable. It is easy to be for fans to be criticle
when the majority havent ever played competively or coached at a competive level
Like high school state championships, collage or pros.
I agree with mark we need a true center. this memo experiment went 3 years to
long ass far as im concerned. basicaly he plays where the guards are and ofers
no offense rebound help when he on the 3 point line and no interior
defense.Coach sloan preaches defense but do any thing to the players who dont
play it,so they nothing going to happened
I'm not sure if the jazz should trade boozer, i am sure that when he plays good
the jazz play good. He was playing good last week. Minnesota was a different
story, he didn't have an answer for their triple teaming. I think he deserves
the award though.
ha ha KG putting up a .706 fg% mvp in one weeks worth of work.
AK is going to continue to have back trouble because of his forced weight gain.
Extra pounds, even if it is muscle, puts stress on the lower back. AK developed
his body for quickness. His bones and joints have adapted to his lighter,
quicker body. Now the Jazz management forces him to bulk up for strength and
AK's joints, ligaments, and cartilage will suffer. Not everyone
is Karl Malone. Good coaching optimizes the player talents. Bad coaching expects
players to be something they are not.
Vince54 is right on with his criticism of the jazz on forced weight gain for AK.
Body types vary and players skills vary. The Jazz need better wisdom on physical
performance assessment. They have had more injuries than any team in the league
in recent years. The training should be gone (fired). Is it still Mark
Mckown? Not only the injuries are in question (training wise). How
about looking at how the Jazz, despite being a young squad, are gassed in the
fourth quarter each night.
I would hate it if the Jazz end up having a record that warrants only one
All-Star and the coaches vote Boozer in instead of Deron Williams.
I have to say that the Des News has much more savvy fans than the 14year old
Gordon Monsonites over on the Trib web site. They've mostly moved away from Booz
and are putting their shoulders behind hating Sloan instead. Most of them feel
that Fez is the answer to all of the Jazz ills. While it's true that Salt Lake
could use much better sports writers, we could also try to grow up a little as
gdog3 the reason theyve been gassed in the fourth quarter the past games was
because they were playing with a 7 man line-up. CJ and Korver were injured and
some of the players were on and off. But now that CJ is back and Korver is on
his way to getting healthy i see a brighter future this season.
Another great honor and someone may still want to trade for you - go for
Oh, great timeing! Boozer is playing great but it is too late because the team
already decided to keep Memo this off season. The Jazz have no money so they
will be forced to let Booser's contract expire and get nothing back. Now we will
be stuck with a front court of milsap and okur for the next 3 years. That means
middle of the road team, no good draft picks and more loses to the T-Wolves!
it takes a lot of mental toughness to turn away from the hate and put up pow
numbers instead. carlos has totally won me over. dude's showing lots of class.
No hate for any players on the Jazz, they just won't win a 'ship with current
roster. Boozer is a better answer than Okur for the Jazz. Bottom line is they
both need a center to play with. Okur would be so good with a dominant low-post
(offensive) center. Where Booz would be awesome with a dominant defensive
center. They both have game, they just need a different situation to magnify
their game. My preference is and always has been to keep Boozer and go with a
@Sokol man you said it. Who else on our team is going to deliver like he is?
Millsap might in a few years but even that is debatable. If we didn't have
Booze and with the injuries we have now we would be looking pretty sad indeed.
But like typical Jazz fans we latch onto what a guy says rather than what he
Surprise Surprise???Boozer having a good year?I like him a lot BUT
he has no loyalty,''PERIOD''.Trade him while we can get something for him
HURRY!!Think Defense Kevin, Jerry's offense will be great with almost
whoever you plug in.HURRY HURRY!
