Love Andy. We continue to wish his wife a speedy recovery and for him a strong
playoff showing. Go Real!
I hope we can keep him around. Real keeps looking for a catalyst in the
midfield, and Morales has not always been that. It is nice to have Andy to be
there when Morales is off. He always seems to ratchet it up a notch or two at
the end of the season.
I don't the the coaching staff with protect him in the expansion draft, and I'm
betting philly will take him. He deserves more time than he gets, so maybe the
move will be better for him. I don't understand why he hasn't played more this
season, but at least we got to watch him tear it up for the last few games!Best wishes to Andy and Marcia and their family battling cancer! Prayers
are with you...
With all that went on in his personal life, his wife fighting cancer in Seattle,
he stayed focused. The epitome of a professional! Thank you Andy for being a
great role model. I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that he could not have
done it without his wife. Being by yourself fighting cancer takes strentgh
rarily seen. Thanks Marcia for letting us enjoy watching your husband. The two
of your are amazing.GO RSL!
For some odd reason, the #9 is not available to any of the current RSL players
to wear because...? Rumor is, that Jason Kreis is having it retired in his
honor. While I wont argue against him being an MLS legend, he is by no means an
RSL legend (as retiring a jersey would suggest). There is, however, one legend
that current plays for the squad. And that is Andy "Bomma" Williams. The guy has
been with the club since the beginning. He is a major key to the teams success
and is the emotional leader despite not being very vocal and not wearing the arm
band. I really hope he continues to play for RSL. He is the fan favorite
for a reason. The One and ONLY RSL LEGEND#77, ANDY BOMMA
Please! Jason had 17 goals/9 assists in 2 seasons (8.5 goals/4.5 assists per
season avg; part of the last season he played defensive mid-field), was the
leagues first 100 goal scorer with RSL, etc, etc.Andy has 11
goals/21 assists in 5 seasons (2.2 goals/4.2 assists per season avg). If the
guy had the work rate that he has had this season throughout his career, he
would probably start. However, he takes long periods of time off during games.
Good player, I'm not sure why he is a fan favorite.
