Now A.K. can hold his own in the box rather than being thrown around like a
rag doll. His game is really a power forward game. He just needs the strength
to play it effectivly. I don't think he can stay healthy doing the high wire
act, he keeps getting hurt when he plays that way, then becomes tentative when
he comes back from his injuries. At this weight he can play the 3 or the 4
"20 pounds of muscle"--ha! Every thin NBA player says this every year at the
beginning of camp. Andrei said this same thing two years ago...that he added 20
pounds of "muscle." Don't believe the hype, he's the same weak, skinny player
he's always been.Oh yeah, over the summer I also gained 20 pounds of
"muscle." Yeah right.
If AK can keep the weight on, he'll have better stamina at the end of games,
especially later in the season. If not, back to same-o, same-o.It'd
be nice if AK can get back to being his old 5x5 self. That kind of player is
hard to come by, and is very beneficial to a team. He doesn't need to be one of
the team's top scorers, just top producers.Did Brewer improve his
long ball during the off season? If not, AK might have to take his spot when we
Ronnie may not be very succesful in getting an extension with the JAzz or
any other NBA team thanks to Kobe. Last year in the playoffs Kobe
gave Ronnie every chance to make the Lakers pay for leaving him open, he did not
make them pay and the result was he embarassed himself. He has no shot outside
the key in the NBA, hard to demand a big salary when you are not a shooter in
the NBA. Thanks Kobe you saved us millions.
Kirilenko's problem has always been skill at the 3 not bulk so when you read
management telling him to bulk up and talking Boozer trade it can only mean they
want AK back at the 4 where he historically has been very productive. Plus minus
stats show the Jazz are better with him at 4 rather than Boozer. The jazz want
to get a return on the 40 million left on his contract. I think we will see the
Jazz watch Boozer's contract expire and see Milsap and AK share time running the
pick and Role.
The jazz should really try hard to trade AK to Nets, now that it has a russian
owner. Bobby Simmons+anyone else (Maybe Yi Jianlian to attrach some chinese
money) would match up salary wise, and I am pretty sure the new Nets owner would
love to have russian team captain in his team
Come on everyone? The only guy on the Jazz less likely to be traded than AK
is Deron Williams....Ak is a stud and can still do things that only 2
other players in the league can!!!Think a little people?
I love AK . . . he is going to kick butt this year!
Every year there is a story about how AK has put on weight. Every year, he
looks exactly the same. I hope it's different this year.
There are too many haters out there. It is like everybody has to rip on the jazz
so if they have a bad season you can say that "I told you so", but if they do
well you'll likely be forgotten and jump back on the "bandwagon." Be loyal.
There are too many pessimistic skeptics out there.
