It seems to me that everyone who is opposed to the use of federal land for
energy exploration etc. thinks that we want to go put an oil rig right in the
middle of Zion National Park or take a backhoe to Arches. The truth is, most of
this land is in the middle of nowhere-out of sight, out of mind. The fact the
the federal government owns 66% of Utah's land is mind boggling to me. I agree
with Gov. Herbert in that we can be good stewards of the earth AND take
advantage of Utah's abundance of natural resources.
The statement, what it we didn't have a Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce, etc.
Is absurd. The Gov. didn't create any of them, and no-one is advocating their

I'm not aware of any Utah land decisions made by Obama.
