You go O'Connor! Tell that lazy butt, only in it for himself, stinker where to
doesn't need to tell Boozer where to go. He gets to CONTROL where Boozer will
go (or not) - at least for the coming season. All Boozer's talk does,
whether intentional on his part or not, is manipulate the situation and put
pressure on Utah to move him. Other teams aren't as likely to do a good deal for
Utah if the other team feels the Jazz don't have much choice. It would serve
Boozer right if Utah decided to keep him during his contract year after getting
no good trade offers. Boozer would have to play at his best and be a team
player and avoid injury even if he's a lame duck (metaphor intended), otherwise
he won't get the raise he seems to think is so important.
The player had to tell the agent to be calm? While it is great to be great to
your family, give the uncle 2 percent of the contract and hire a real agent.
This is making Millsap look like a simpleton who doesn't know enough to get the
best representation, which he isn't.Unfunny but definitely a joke.
love Milsap because of what he's come from (2nd round pick) and how hard he
works. We're all looking forward to having him back. One bit of advice for
Milsap though-settle with your agents and then fire them quickly. I followed
this process all the way through and read all the quotes. I can truly says that
Milsap's "representatives" are clowns. This is evident in the fact that Milsap
had to distance himself from anything they said after this was all over with. I
mean agents can be ridiculous anyway, but these guys were complete bafoons in
their comments and tactics. Despite this, I am glad to say WELCOME BACK PAUL
over and over the madness continues. Why committ Brewer when this remains the
question #2 guard?Boozer for Prince why cannot the 2 parties get
this done? Dumars is in a trading mood make it happen..This would be a GREAT
TRADE (forgot sloanaholics afraid of change)long, lean, excellent defender,
clutch player, still young enough, world champion BILLUPS TYPE INFLUENCE>
you can put up with a lot from your agent uncle when he took you off the
football field and taught you to play basketball. dont know were he found the
other agent must have been cheap. contract turned out preety sweet tho. dont
know if they had anything to do with it. if they did alot more players may sign
with them. tend to belive it was more portlands gm
Millsap needs to fire those low life agents - if I've ever seen a cheap hussler
it is them. And I'm pretty sure they had nothing with the Jazz signing Millsap,
they wanted him back and that's all.
The outcome would have been the same if Paul had agents or not. He is just a
nice guy that wanted to "pack" his uncle on his shoulders for a few sweet
paychecks, (you know, make him feel important).
are bad agents. Their comments between the offer sheet and the match
accomplished absolutely nothing but to irritate Jazz fans.Vartanian
says it was all business? If its all business, try acting like a professional.
probly would have liked to go to portland. thats why they said he would. young
strong team he would have got paid the same probly come off the bench less min
probly a better coach. utah going to have to work his butt off more of a chance
to get hurt. no center to help underneath list goes on and on . no his agents
had nothing to do with him signing to utah they probly dident try he wanted to
go to portland. if i was paul and read all the blogs saying he wasent worth the
money. then the portland blogs all excited for him to come. i know were i would
have wanted to play. dosent take much to irritate the fans.
How dare O'Conner. He is also the reason you sloanaholics still have Sloan as a
coach and John Amechi no longer is in a Jazz uniform. Oh how I wish Mayor Rock
Anderson would have done somthing about this hate crime committed by the Jazz.
You've got to be kidding me about Amechi. He was the laziest player the Jazz
ever had. Made Ostertag look like a workaholic. All he ever wanted was to get
a paycheck and then when it was obvious that he was pulling a FRAUD on the Jazz,
he pulls this stunt about discrimination. It's sad when people use that as an
excuse when they cannot take responsibility for themselves and diminish those
who have real claims. So based on your post, thank God for O'Conner and getting
rid of Amechi, the WORST PLAYER in Jazz history (and that includes Luther
amen pass the peas and corn bread
Todd, you are some serious comic relief!
Millsap first off needs two agents? I can't remember someone having two agents.
Nevermind that one of them is his Uncle who seems to be someone who needs to
use his brain and think about things before he speaks and then has his client in
public distance himself from it. Last time I checked, getting paid $800,000 to 8
million dollar's (whatever it is) is a good raise and should be happy about it
not jabbing the "hand that feeds the mouth."Let's be clear on one thing
though, Millsap has worked hard and played most games and deserves credit, but
he was dominated by taller men all year long especially in the playoffs. Let's start a fund to buy Boozer a bus ticket to Alaska to get him out of here
what's that? extention for Brewer? oh, Kobe and other guards facing Brewer
should be happy! yeeepy! guarding Brewer is so easy, just let him take the
outside shot, the result? boink!..Kobe will agree for sure! they would love to
face Utah!.. extending a shooting guard that can't even attempt to shoot beyond
the arc is so...I don't know... I just hope Brewer improves his shooting, he is
supposing to shoot 3's, he is a shooting guard! right?
I predict Sloan will flip-flop Brewer and Miles this year. Brewer will be
better at the 3, where he can slash and back dooor; Miles is more of a pure
shooter so he will produce better at the 2.And yes, Brewer should be
extended. He's got a lot of upside.
Brewer won't be extended unless he proves he can be an outside scorer. He has a
lot to prove this year to get a better contract.
need a SG/SF that can shoot and defend. If Boozer is gone, then AK
could be at PF part of the time. Harp will also be gone. That leave
Korver who tries to defend and Brewer who tries to shoot and CJ who shoots
sometimes and defends sometimes but who does not rebound nor attack the rim. The Jazz need a complete SG/SF. They need to rotate the rest on a
matchup basis. Does everyone remember the really bad 1Qs? How does
replacing Boozer with Millsap fix that? The Jazz have 4 SF/SGs and
they still have a problem at those positions. This is a perfect example of the
Sloan philosophies of vet preference and continuity. Go get the
talent and then develop the talent and continuity will work better. The Jazz start with a project who has very serious holes (Brewer and shooting)
and then will take years to realize that the problem will never fix enough. Work does not make up for a lack of talent. That is one of the myths
that hold down the Jazz. Talent without work is dead but work
without enough talent will never be sufficient.
Boozer opts in and then goes on the radio and says he wants to be a member of
another team. This guys stupidity is only exceeded by his lack of
defense. At the end of the day Millsaps agents did what he hired them
to do--make him alot of money. They may not make you feel warm and fuzzy but at
the end of the day the more he makes the more they make. Millsap
got more money than most here thought he likely would.Guess that
means mission accomplished. Now Millsap gets to come out and distance himself
from the agents while they take the hit but at the end of the day he collects
the money.Agents don't really care what you think of them--they are
after one thing and it is not your love.
GUYS, GUESS WHAT THE LAST SEVERAL POSTS WERE NOT "THE REAL ME" DO YOU THINK I
WOULD TALK ABOUT AMECHI> HE STUNK.....
the imposters do not deserve an answer. My last post was on Brewer getting an
extension and why? I did not report on Amechi that was not me....By the way, I
do not hear anything about a Boozer trade. I doubt O connor is capable of
making a trade, maybe never....You would more likely see Jared Collins back than
Booze being dealt. If you acquired Rip lets say. Now Brewer can be used at#3
and you have improved 2 positions.
well put. thats what i was trying to say.
Thats the Utah way. Scott Layden was exactly like that and now O'Connor. They
don't want any feathers ruffled around them because we all know "John Deere
Sloan" calls the shots around here, always has and always will until------? Why
does ownership put up with it? Because you fans continue to buy season and game
tickets! When the seats are no longer full we will see a change, and until that
happens this team will struggle. End of story!
Brewer will be extended a qualifying offer and a offer next off season (just
like Williams, Millsap and Miles), and if he is not happy about the offer the
Jazz will let the market decide what he is worth (just like Miles and Millsap).
that is the best post i have seen in some time, so factual also
I have found a VERY interesting rumor picking up MAJOR steam. The rumored deal
is a follows: 1. Lakers recieve Glen Davis/Jazz 1st round Pick
(from Knicks next year)/Fesenko. 2. Boston Receives: Boozer/Jazz 2010
2nd rd pick 3. Jazz recieve: Lamar Odom/Boston 2011 2nd round pick, cash
considerations This scenario leaves the Jazz with one 1st round
pick in 2010 and it is not the pick of preference, but it is believed Kevin
O'Connor has run out of options and risks keeping Boozer on the roster if he
does not move Boozer in the next few days.
Where in the world did you hear that rumor???
