Thanks Deseret News for the insightful story.
He was a strange man but I grew up on his music, this is a sad day overall.

A sad disturbed man, yet still an icon that changed modern music. Rest in
Has this been publicly confirmed?
A pop icon has passed away. He'll be remembered as an Elvis Presley to many in
It is sad to hear that, just after he was trying to get back into giving
concerts and maybe being a little bit more normal.
A pop icon has passed away. Another Elvis Presley to be remembered.
Boy, it's been a bad day for crazy entertainers. First Farrah now Michael.
Who's next? Rosie O'Donnel? Perhaps Rosanne Barr.Too bad too, I liked
MJ's music, not to sure about his personal life but hey who am I to judge. May they both rest in peace.
Now what happens to those poor little kids that are supposedly his children?
although michael went through quite a rough patch, he should be remembered as a
very talented and gifted musician. his music was amazing! condolences to his
family and friends!
What a weird day. First Farrah and now Michael. Two icons who will be sadly
Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson... RIP...
"he should be remembered as a very talented and gifted musician."Yes, let's just ignore the pedophilia and multimillion dollar hush payments.
What's happening DN?? First there is 4 comments then 12 comments and when

Walter Cronkite is in bad shape, too. They must be in need of entertainment in
"but hey who am I to judge" I think you already did.
I know he had his moments of controversy but the music industry and world has
lost a great talent.
I'll miss that guy.
I am devastated and will be taking a bereavement day tomorrow from work.
Wow, we are watching the icons of an era pass before our eyes. Let's
hope he'll find more peace where he is than where he was.
Mark in Draper | 4:39 p.m. June 25, 2009A pop icon has passed
away. He'll be remembered as an Elvis Presley to many in the world..Remember he was married to Elvis's daughter.
Never cared for him. Is that bad?
june 25 will always be MJ day in my heart
here come all the michael jackson music and then the tabloids will say he's been
seen at Mc Donalds ..I'm going down there right now so i can be the crowd.
My wife and I met the night MTV played the new "Thriller" music-video.Wow....
Interesting that people with no personal connection to Mr. Jackson's life are
willing to draw strong conclusions about allegations regarding molestation,
despite the fact that he was exonerated in a court of law.I feel sad
that someone who was obviously so talented was destroyed by his father and
others who were willing to exploit him throughout his life to make money with no
one ever seemingly willing to do what would actually have been best for him.
It's not that surprising that he ended up as strange as he did.Too
bad, it would have been great to see him make a comeback someday.
...but I have trouble mourning the passing of a man who admitted to "sharing his
love and bed" with pre-teen boys, and who paid one of those boys $25 million for
his silence. Why anyone would give even a dollar for the talents of this
disturbed individual is beyond me.
Can we stop with the celeb worship already?
He ADMITTED "sharing his bed" with other people's young sons, and he paid an
out-of-court settlement of $25 million to one of his victims. Remember that
O.J. was "exonerated," too. You only give Michael Jackson a pass for his
obvious and self-admitted crimes because you're a fan.
No more neverland, never again...thank goodness. Too bad he was so interesting
in a weird way...child stardom strikes again.
He certainly had a troubled personal life, but he also made some really great
music - music that still holds up extremely well today. RIP Michael.
I am two years younger than both Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond and have
watched both their careers wax and wan for years. And while Donny
Osmond never reached the pinnacle of success professionally that Michael did,
overall, his whole life is far more of an example to the world.May
Michael find peace in the next life, and his children comfort in this.
Thank you DN for the News, Fair and Balanced. Some of the Posters will not
be.My family and my prayers go out to his family during this time of
extreme sadness.I have always been and remain to this day a huge
fan. I had Thriller playing on my Car CD just a couple of days ago.I
have several of his Albums on my, My Music. In our house when
someone musical dies, we play their songs. We have a lot of Michael Jackso,I remember a young boy that Sang Gospel and Loved Jesus. I
also remember a fine entertainer, singer, song writer and person. THE MAN BYOUND
ROCKED.In the later years I have ignored the weirdness and stuck to
the artist. Michael was Michael simple as that. I do not believe he
was a child molester in the strict sense of the word. He did love kids, perhaps
a little to much. What he did do was create thousands of Jobs, Union
Scale, Family Wage Jobs. What he did was create Music that we could
dance to and have fun listening to.Three Kids are without their
Father.I AM AND REMAIN A HUGE FAN.
What an amazing talent. But too bad his life was as tragic as his death.

I'm sorry that both Farrah and Michael are gone. My regret for Farrah is that
her death today is now going to be completely overshadowed by Michael's.
The world will suffer a massive loss of the kind of talent it takes to grab
one's crotch and ream out loud.

such boorish childish behaviors from so many posters, truly sad.
Maybe he can rest now. RIP.
Whats really sad is so many people place such value on these entertainers. There
are plenty of people just as talented as MJ & Farrah, they were lucky enough to
be discovered. Just look at Susan Boyle. It was a very sad day when
my mother died but it didn't make the news. Their was never any speculation that
she was a drug abuser or pedophile either. Maybe that's why it did'nt make the
news.To me, June 25 will always be the day after my birthday. Our sympathy should be for their families.
A few days ago, the 40th anniversary of the death of Judy Garland -- and now
this shocking development. Mr. Jackson possessed enormous talent,
and most people do not understand where that sort of creativity comes. Thus
he had to endure the insults and the sniping of the little talents and the
jealous wannabes.I remember something that Bernard Shaw wrote in the
notes to "Caesar and Cleopatra" He compared-contrasted Caesar, and Charles
XII, and Joan of Arc, and Admiral Nelson "who were like most modern self made
millionaires half witted geniuses, enjoying the worship according by all races
certain forms of insanity." The adulation that the public heaped on Jackson
seems today to validate Shaw's assessment -- but we didn't realize
how insane Jackson really could get. For exampleHe settled the 1993
pedofile accusations out of court, and the 2005 jury found him not guilty of
child sexual abuse by getting kids drunk -- yet somehow he never quite shook off
As they used to say in Washington: Elvis has left the building! Or was that just
One last WHO RAH for Michael. His name will soon be for gotten like it has been
for the past ten plus years. Sorry to say but pedophiles don't desire praise!
Michael Jackson made some of the best pop music I have ever heard. Everything
that his music was about promoted peace and love. It's easy to say that he was
a child molestor and that's all he'll be remembered for. I don't know whether
he actually molested a child or not, I wasn't in the room (although he does fit
the profile of a pedophile). We may never know what really happened. But to
everyone pointing a finger and proclaiming him guilty, I say he among you
without sin should first cast a stone.
I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news. This came out of nowhere.
Michael was the first artist I can remember liking. I had a poster of him that I
kissed every morning before school and every day after. He may have had his
struggles but he was a talented human being. My prayers are with his children at
this difficult time. And I hope he is finally able to find peace.
He was king of pop at his time. Rest you troubled soul. You music will be
forever remembered. RIP Mike.
No need to tromp on the mans grave, he's a real american ICON who gave so much
for his country and the entertainment world. Somewhere between heavan and
paradise is a rockin party going on!!!
For my generation, we won't remember Michael for Thriller or MTV, we will
remember him for Off The Wall (1979). That was a GREAT album. I don't think
there was anyone in my High School (class of 1981) that didn't have that record.
Thank goodness we can remember Michael when he was young, innocent,
and immensely talented--before he became the King of Pop.
Michael Jackson: Tons of talent. Some really, REALLY
weird ideas of "normal".Personally, I wish he would have worked more
dilligently at staying what really was "normal". All that plastic surgery where
his nose got narrower and more pointy and his skin got whiter and whiter. And
the facial makeup. Then there's the whole fantasy land thing (or whatever he
called his home) and having kids sleep over at his house, and reportedly, in his
bed.Not normal, people, not normal.I sometimes felt bad
for the guy because he had, through his own choices, put himself so "out there"
it was hard for himself to shed the image of "weird former superstar."Well, Mr. Jackson, I hope you are more at peace....
NO ONE really knows the truth around the allegedmolestation charges, so it
is ignorant of anyone to even bring it up at such a devasting time , he will
be missed deeply, he was still a loving father and had a family and fans that
loved and stood by him, let them have their privacy with notalk of the
past allegations......in our hearts forever, may your soul find peace as you
reside with our heavenly father....God Bless you Michael
What can I say? Michael Jackson was a musical revolution. "Thriller" was
arguably his very best effort. The music video for "Thriller" is still the best
music video ever made. It's unfortunate that he struggled with many issues for
many years and that he died before making the big comeback. Even though I'm not
his greatest fan, I'll remember alot of Michael Jackson's stuff with fondness.
Thank you, Michael Jackson, for the memories, We'll miss you here on earth, and
be at peace. You too, Farrah Faccett. May The Good Lord with with all of their
families and loved ones in this challenging time.
I think it is sad that Ed McMann died broke. He was having to do cheesy
commercials the last year of his life, and he was 86. I think it is
sad that Farrah's son is in jail, that she never knew that he was in jail. How
sad that this boy and his father were busted a while back for drugs and their
son ended up being behind bars the day his mother died. I think it
is sad that Michael Jackson had gotten into financial problems. I also think it
is sad that fame destroyed this young man, look at the progressive pictures. To
start out, he was a cute charming little boy at the end, his eyes are so sad and
I would bet that he suffered from a few mental illnesses. But from
these three people, we can see that fame is not all it is cracked up to be.
"he will be missed deeply, he was still a loving father and had a family and
fans that loved and stood by him, let them have their privacy with no"Oh, ok, let's just talk about the good stuff shall we? The man had
flaws and when you are a public figure you get both sides of fame.
I was angry at the injustice of Jackson being acquitted of the charges of
molestation. Other than that, I've had no emotion regarding him since I was 11
years old and obsessed with his dance moves. So, I was quite surprised that I
felt so sad when I heard the news. He was a huge part of my upbringing and that
of all my star-struck girlfriends, even though he didn't know us personally. I'm
not sure that this fact was a good thing. It is a crying shame what he did with
his life and his talent. Many people who had tough childhoods do not become
sexual perverts. Let's miss him, but not idolize him. He was just a human being
like the rest of us. He let all of his supporters down, but he owed no
responsibilty to them. We all have the freedom of living out our private lives
and dysfunctions, but we get to do so without world-wide knowledge. That being
said, those who preach that he's up there singing with Jesus are as bad as those
who say that he's rotting in hell already.
He and Elvis can continue their long relationship now
The passing of Michael Jackson is like a star being plucked from the sky. The
sky becomes a little dimmer.
michael was a good man and that his how he should be rememembered.rest in peace
with your heavenly father.you will be missed.my thoughts are with your children
they have lost a loving father.
He is gone too soon.He was once maaried to Elvis' daughter.Elvis went away so
young.Any coinsedence.Michael RIP.mY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND THE
CHILDREN HE LEFT BEHIND.
I Love Rock and Roll, Michael Jackson could Rock and Roll. I never
cared what a Star said or did, who they Voted for or what caused they supported
or did not support. All the Stars that have died in the last few days
have done some good for their fellow man.I am sad for all their
families. Ryan O Neal most of all.I like Michael Jackson for his
Music and for his Dancing Ability. His ability to bring people of different
Races and Cultures Together. Helping US all to be Americans.Michael
Jackson had issues, Picasso had issues, Psycho Babblers have massive issues.
The Statue Of David is Anatomically Correct and some of you have an issue with
that. We all have issues, but does it take away from our Talent. If
our issue is all we are Judged on then we are Judged to harshly. Sometimes We
are good at Beating Our Selfs up badly, along with others.
I grew up on the music of the Jackson 5 and I really enjoyed the albums of
Michael Jackson. I was saddened to hear of his passing, hopefully now he will be
able to have some rest and peace that he didn't feel while during his mortal
I want a T-Shirt that says, "I out lived Michael Jackson". Never
thought I'd live longer than the guy who could afford those special life pods he
used to sleep in every night. All that money and fame must be good for something
in preserving long life, right? Oh wait. I guess not. Meh.
Matthew 18:6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe
in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and
that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.Sorry, as a mother, I
just can't praise a man who harmed little children, even if a pop idol. While
found not guilty, some of the jurors allegedly regretted that decision soon
after the trial. Hmm, I wonder if there is a scripture about false idols
too?It amazes me how our current society turns a blind eye to horrific
crime so long as a celebrity commits it.
I am sick of seeing things like "the man had flaws" and equally ridiculous
statements. Is pedophilia a "flaw"? This is the same group of people going
ape-nuts over gay marriage. Go figure.
he was a pillar of the community..why not every else getting felonies in utah is
held up to be. Forget about his pedophelia why that is what made him Michael.
I love how people say,"He will be missed." Oh please! Few people truly were
friends with him and everyone else knows him for his music and questionable
morals with children. If he died and no one knew, his music would live on, and
no one would give a hoot if he was dead or not. People are so funny
when they pretend to care about a "celebrity."
What a waste of talent and money. He had everything going for him, had great
opportunities to help others, but because he was so self absorbed he wasted it
all on drugs, weird obsessions, all about himself. Three kids without a father,
those three kids never had a father.
would i let my child sleep over? Case closed!
Yes he was but just like all the other talents out there in our world many of
them have issues in their lives that just seem to be overlooked only because
they have the "big bucks". It's sad to me that the "almighty dollar" rules and
is the measuring stick in someones life as to what kind of a person they really
are! I will just leave the whole "Drug" thing alone for now but that and other
lifestyle choices do determine your life longevity.
He was the talent of a generation. There was no one better. He was also
disturbed and damaged.I will miss him.

thanks for the right perspective. Everyone is quick to throw stones. If he was a
molestor God will judge him. No one is praising him but music is important in
peoples lives. I remeber when Billie Jean was popular about the time my son was
born. It was a good time in my life. Music is a powerful tool and can take us to
a places we've long forgotten.
It seems, in an odd way, a fitting end to a troubled existence. I was never a
fan, but could not deny his talent. He was never seen with friends. Elizabeth
Taylor? Please. A grandmotherly figure, at best.I never saw him in the
company of guys his age. In every interview he seemed distant and apart from
reality. He was the richest guy around, and one could assume one of the
unhappiest as well. All kinds of allegations, UNPROVEN, to be sure, of
questionable contact with kids. Just a weird scene all the way around. I hope
his soul rests in peace, because it sure seemed like his worldly existence was
anything but peaceful.Mike
nobody really knows what/why jackson did, what he did. I bet he had a really
messed up child hood. lets not judge! I dont think we will ever know unless we
have walked in his shoes. He was pure talent so lets just say we wil miss his
music. he inspired all with it!!
People, the man was found innocent of any crimes by the law of the land. It's
not your place to judge. I hope that, when each of you die, all
your neighbors go over to your house, and tell your children about all the
mistakes you made in life. The man is dead, so it's time to let go.
Whether or not he did bad things is moot at this point. He needs salvation
just as much as any poster here does. He was a great musician, and deserves,
for just one day, to be praised for the good he contributed to the planet. The only fitting punishment for the callous attitudes of so many here is
that you are judged by the same standard by which you judge.
"I bet he had a really messed up child hood."Its a known fact that
he had a messed up childhood. Go look up the kind of stuff his father subjected
him (and his siblings) to when he was a kid. It was cruel, its no wonder he was
so screwed up.
re: and::: Michael was never charged with molesting anyone. i believe those
people only wanted his money
Where is Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Oprah Winfrey, and Obama in all this
I'm not sure how people can idolize Jackson. Sure, he had some good songs but I
don't think that is reason to idolize someone. The people I look up too are
positive role models. Jackson was hardly a positive role model. However I did
feel sorry for him. He was a very confused and messed up person.
from an extraordinarily talented, once-in-a-century kind of entertainer.
Unfortunately, like most people who achieve stardom at an early age, he grew up
to be a total fruitcake.
Why is there so much worship of Michael Jackson on this and other comment
boards? You would think he was on track to be granted sainthood by the pope
himself the way people are talking about him. He got paid to sing. Woo-hoo.
Millions of people who led more meaningful lives die every year without this
much fanfare. STOP WORSHIPING HIM. I am sick of people trying to make a weirdo
tabloid icon into some kind of angelic figure.
By surgically reshaping his nose to make it look like a white person's. That's
an unforgivable slap to his own race.
Re: AZMom...they are his children. He fathered two with his second wife, Deborah

Two months after the trial, some jurors regretted their decision. You must
remember that some information/facts/evidence, deemed too inflammatory, was not
permitted in the trial. Yes, he touched alot of lives.
Unfortunately some of those lives he touched were little boys.
He was a talent! End of story! He was not an icon. He was not a role model! He
was not an upstanding individual! Yes he was successful in one area of his life
but what else is there-------********?
Re: areyouforgettingthis | 6:22 a.m. June 26, 2009 Matthew 7: 1-51. Judge not, that ye be not judged.2. For with what judgment ye
judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again.3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's
eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Rom 14:10
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. The
Ancient of Days shall judge us all.
You don't excuse someone's bad or illegal behavior simply because they had a bad
childhood. What nonsense. Many of us have had dysfunctional families to do
better perhaps because of it. I looked to successful families for my role
models and noted from my own what I would not do in my own home. It
wasn't one instance that was questioned but multiple ones. Would you have let
him babysit your own children? I certainly wouldn't have.
I guess dying is one way to get out of bankruptcy and pending lawsuits. Do
lawsuits already filed continue against his estate? Maybe he faked his death to
avoid his financial problems....Never was a fan, never bought into
they hype even though I was a product of the 80's.
Exactly! I haven't molested a child so I feel quite safe and comfortable
judging, as per the scripture you quoted. You might want to note that the
scripture also requires professional judges as well. Sad also that so much was
suppressed as too inflammatory from the trial that jurors regretted their
decision after the trial. Again, we judge in everyday life as is NECESSARY. The
scripture doesn't suggest you not judge at all, but as you would want and in
righteousness. Does it say anywhere in those scripture where you must
ignore/not judge sexual predation especially against children? Of course not.
Ever hear about millstones and children in those scriptures of yours? Do those
scriptures of yours say anything about false idols? Or how about this line:
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. "Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs
of thistles?" From 16. I only question that adoration be tempered with reality.
Odd also, is that many most likely condemned Michael Vick over dogs. It seems
our priorities have suffered when we don't protect our children (even calling
them "money grubbing") but demand excessive justice for our dogs.
At least he loved children. Maybe a little too much though. Had he been a
common folk, he would've been sent to prison. That is the sad reality of the
"justice" system of this country. At least he is now going to be truly judged
by God.If God can forgive him, I can also. I have already forgiven
him for the aweful music he produced, it was better than rap though.
It's a sad day in history. Yes he made HORRIBLE choices that he will be judged
for and I'm not worried because yes I haven't molested any children but I have
still done things that will always regret. He is still an icon. He is still
someone that will always be remembered and I will still dance to Thriller every
Halloween. He'll go down in history, no matter what is said. R.I.P. Michael
Juice: he was never charged with molestation. they were just allegations. we
are not supposed to judge people. god will be the judge
I understand all those people whom have hate in their hearts. It is not a easy
task to grow up & live, to see what is in the world but we should all try and
put our best thoughts to good use. It is easy to blame or judge someone. If
you believe in GOD, then he will be the only one to pass Judgement...
I will always love Michael and Janet for the talent they possess within their
performances. No, entertainers have showed this type of talent in making videos
in the fashion they do; how grateful we fans are to have had a legend with such
unique creation, style, and beauty as an African in Amercia. Michael is the King
of music period! The Jacksons move people instantly and this is what music is
really about. I can dance all night long on their music. I love all Michael's
performances. In addition, I am truly hurt and cannot comprehend that he is gone
forever even though; Michael's music tells me that Michael is alive because his
music is so lively and awakes the emotions inside of an individual. Moreover, my
condolence goes out to the Jackson's family. I truly wish that Janet later on
could continue Michael's concerts; it would really help many people's emotions.
Perhaps Janet may work something out, on the behalf of Michael's fans regarding

such a sad end to such a strange man who led such a strange life, he had talent
but it is tragic that he lived so unsure and insecure with himself and everyone
around him. I am sorry that he lived as he did so scared of himself and
everyone, but children and animals he missed out on so much in this life because
he was so insecure and closed off from the real world. Life is for living and
not for hiding from, to die at 50 is so sad, all the fame and adoring fans and
to be known for how weird his life was is pathetic. I liked his music and
admired his talent but he could have done so much more if his life was normal
and he had taken better care of himself. I guess the lesson for us all is to
live life to the fullest and enjoy the journey and to make sure your life is
known for more than what a weird and sad and strange person you have become over
Apparently 'areyouforgettingthis' is unaware that his/her words and sentiments
are fairly bristling with thistles.Yes...I am aware that many have
lived through horrible abuses in their childhoods, and managed to emerge as
relatively normal adults...and I say bully for them. They will receive the
fruits of their own harvest. But I sincerely doubt that most people
who endured such abuse were also forced into the magnifying glass of public
scrutiny at a tender age, and endured this scrutiny throughout their lives, as
well as being subjected to so many false rumors about every aspect of their
lives. The Lord alone can righteously judge an individual...because
only He can see into the soul. He will judge Michael Jackson
righteously, because only He knows what truly happened, and why.Just
as He will judge us all.
What a great talent. Who knows what kind of life he really lived? At least we
are talking about him. For all those critics out there: who will say a word when
Haters will never gain anything, and remember when you haters die we will be
looking down on you to judge badly, Creating judgment on information that the
media hypes, lies, and destroy people .Do not hide behind your hate because you
haters are seen an viewed as hating someone better than you all. Commenting out
of jealousy as a lot of you, folks do. Nobody dances or bring it like Michael,
so I would appreciate if people would stop comparing him to other stars because
there are no comparisons in talent. Moreover, rhythm and soul can never be
mistaken, or forgotten where it have originally come from! I wonder did someone
possibly overdose him to get rid of him because of his outstanding talent, that
was going to be coming back as the final touch. Is it jealousy, that no one can
bring it like he the king! Moreover, a certain set of people should not judge
others when information is noticed on their set of people, for what they have
been about, for decades regarding children and women of color.
The problem is that you folks do not like to here the truth regarding your
people judging others. What's up with that?Let's talk about who take advantage of
children;this cannot be hiding at all.Your allowing these people to make
comments about the king of pop,but do not want to post what I am saying. Why is
that because the truth hurts!
While it's sad to see anyone die prematurely, life goes on. My question is, why
do we get so emotionally attached to celebrities who don't even know or care
about any of us individually? The way some people talk, you think a close
member of their own family had just died. How many others die prematurely and
never get recognized for their lifes works?Grow up people and stop
living in the past.
Look people can die from a heart problems at any age. There are many more
important things happening out in this world today. I feel bab for the jackson
family, but let's move on people....
Have any of you heard the song he did for the movie "Free Willy"? Remember that
show? The song is titled "Will You Be There". Those of you who are being so
judgemental should listen to it. Nobody is perfect. And if I recall it says in
the Bible "He who is free from sin let him cast the first stone" I see alot of
you casting a bunch of stones at Michael, are you perfect?? I hardly doubt it. I
for one will remember Michael Jackson for who he was an awesome performer and he
had a kind heart. I read the article in the deseret news about what Jimmy Osmond
had to say about Michael..now there's a great tribute! From a friend to a
friend. So who's to say that Michael didn't have friends like I read from
somebody's comment. Looks to me he did.
We judge every single day. It is normal behavior. You make judgments as to whom
you will or will not allow your children to play with and what toys they are
permitted to play with. Would you want a 3 year old to play with a knife?
Well, your judgment and action determines that. You judge whether you will do
or not do a many number of given things again every single day. We have court
trials in which we judge or we would have complete anarchy. Heck you even judge
the posts that don't agree with yours and then post to state so. Again, what
does your scripture state about millstones and children? Would you idly sit by
if you knew a child was being molested because you "don't want to judge because
God is the only one that will judge righteously?" Of course not, hopefully,
because such is nonsense. Christ's example showed that he did not ignore sin,
nor did he expect us to instead teaching us to sin no more over abdicating all
reason to "god will eventually judge."
Michael Jackson was a good person who suffered from two horrible diseases: Lupus
and Vitiligo. He will forever live on in our hearts and souls. His
death, however sad, should be a celebration of life and music.Already
reatilers are selling out of his albums, who knows, maybe this one tragedy could
play a part in turning around the economy?Don't believe me? His record
sales are through the roof and his legend will live on for eternity.RIP
Haters are abundant here in Utah, don't be surprised by these peoples comments,
its part of the culture here in the land of the perfect.
is a tricky thing...what is it when we hear someone sing and decide that we know
what kind of a person they are? What is it when we decide a person is bad
because they disagree with us? I never liked a single piece of Jackson's
work...not one, and everyone treated me as if I am the guy who killed Santa
Claus. I don't wish for anyone to die but let's don't go canonizing the guy for
dying...he was never so great when he was alive.
what's with all the weird military uniforms that Jackson wore?
I am only 10 years younger than Michael Jackson and I have grown up listening to
his music my whole life. It is difficult to come up with a favorite song from
an extraordinary artist and performer. I think that the real lesson that we can
learn from his life is that fame can really damage a very sensitive and kind
person at the deepest personal levels and perhaps change to the point that they
don't even know who they are anymore. I will always remember Michael Jackson as
the man with a voice and talent that can always bring a smile to my face. He
has the most danceable music out there and I will miss him. I am grateful that
he is in a place that he can work on his challenges and rise above them. I
surely want that chance when my time comes.
weird your the one that's judging. No one cares if you liked Jackson's music or
not, obviously you are in the minority.
We get attached to celebrities because we link them to times of our lives. I
grew up listening to the Jackson 5.Micheal Jackson was so talented.
I could watch the video Thriller over and over. It's too bad he
couldn't overcome his demons. There would be more music to love.
It must be Judgement Day.And so many Judges!!!Micahel Jackson
is not even cold and buried and there is all this judgement flying on this
page.We ALL do good and evil in this world.Like my
Grandmother taught me: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at
It makes me so sad that some people do not respect the deceased. I am sure none
of us personally know him so we shouldn't judge. He was an amazingly talented
musician. He came out and did things no one had ever done before. His style of
dance was very unique and no one can top it. His songs were great. I pray for
his family and children. Rest in Peace.
Welcome to hyperreality.
as are you...which seems to be the point he was making

Too bad that his life style was not in harmony with gospel concepts.
I am sorry to hear about MJ---however I am getting really tired of hearing about
him on every station I turn to. Other prominent Americans and entertainers have
dies and news coverage has been appropriate---ie---a documentary, or story that
is covered for 2-3 days. Nothing like this. He was no God, he was a good
entertainer who liked to sleep with children, lived in his own little world,
held his own child over a balconey, and seemed to enjoy being a black man who
looked white. He was no hero. Where are our American values. Enough is
enough. May he rest in peace. Now get on with it.
I have no problems with the man that Michael became. He lived his life under the
focus of the entire world. Everyone had an opinion about him and very few really
had any compassion for his ghosts and the torments in his life. I for one deeply
respect the man he was, both his nobel side, and his savage side. He is an
excellent example of the Nobel Savageof what it means to be humanand what it
means to LIVE! Conservative = FORCE everyone to be just like you!Liberal = Accept those that are different than you.
"There comes a time When we head a certain call When the world must
come together as one There are people dying And it's time to lend a
hand to life The greatest gift of all We can't go on Pretneding day by day That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God's great big family And the truth, you
know love is all we need" -Michael Jackson from the song "We Are The
World"Set your judgments aside for one day and listen to the lyrics
of this song, I think we can all learn something from this man.
Go back to watching your "American Idol" TV show and call in your judgements
"Conservative = FORCE everyone to be just like you!""Liberal = Accept
those that are different than you."That's a good one. You have it
backwards. Liberals are very accepting as long as you don't question their
beliefs. If you do question their beliefs then they can be the most hateful
vindictive people on the planet. MJ knew what it was like to live??
Live in misery maybe. I feel very bad for him, he was obviously a very confused
Anyone can sing some feel good lyrics. Doesn't make them a good person.
Yes, but if those "feel good lyrics" can reach millions of people, then some
good came of this man's life.
He was an evil, twisted being. I honestly was happy when I heard about his
death. I hope a millstone is around his rotten neck.
Truly, you people who are mourning and taking berevement days from work--why has
his death affected your life? I don't understand! Aside fron influencing some of
my musical taste in the 80's MJ has served no purpose in my education, my life,
my career, my family, my kids, my friends--the things that really determine my
personal happiness. He was a mentally sick man who made great music -- that's
it. Get over it. Focus on your lives, your families and this country!

enough to change costume and come back as a new character...Would you slow down?
Or speed up?”
he couldn't take his music and his fans with him...let the rest of the world
