We have had several students check out of school to move back to Mexico this
It's apparent that this country id more concerned about caring for illegal
aliens than it does for the american people. If the illegals would go home and
take all their strifes with them it would make america a happier place to live
and grow up as americans. These illegals don't want to be americans and refuse
to become americans so why coddle them and worry about educating illegal aliens.
It's too bad that americas education system isn't as worried about american
students and put more effort in educating our own children. This and all
children of illegals do not merit any sympathy about their nomadic and
undocumented lives. I'm tired of supporting this scum in america.
The transiency of non-native speaking students is distressing. To have an entire
school judged on the academic performance (or non-performance) of a small group
who make up the majority of those who come and go throughout the year is
ludicrous. It happens in every school. I teach them. They need all the help we
can give them, but, lets not leave the mainstream behind in our efforts of
dotting every i and crossing every t to satisfy "No Child Left Behind."
Nothing has ruined the American family more than money. I'm a dying breed who
can remember when one income could rise a family. That has been replaced by two
incomes and twice the exposure to risk if there is a job lost.Utah
is a perfect example. Utah talks a good game. Utah touts being a "family state."
Utah as worked ardently to keep wages low. How can you reconcile being about
families when you promote poor wages? My childhood was better than
most. The only argument my parents had surrounded money issues. The less parents
earn, the less harmony at home. This really burns me. I grew up when
most Utah communities where village like. As communities dissolved crime
increased. Back in the single income era, neighbors were a extension
of families. Today, you with provoke a fight if you say the truth: it takes a
village to rise children.
To "who cares", You should, as should we all! Every one one us, including you,
unless you are 100% Native American, comes from immigrant backgrounds, and don't
give me that "they learned the language" stuff because there are still sections
of New York and Boston where Italian and German immigrants can find native
speaking neighborhoods from the 19th century still going strong. Education of
our immigrant children leads to a strong labor force in the future and an
educated electorate. Don't be ignorant, racist, and isolationist. This isn't
1909! We live in a global village with a global economy. Learn to cope or move
to cave in mountains where you can live alone with wonderful philosophy!
