A sad but fitting way for the Jazz to end their season.Again lacking
resolve on the road, out played and out smarted. How telling that a
man that was all but discarded (Price) led the Jazz back into the game.. then
gets benched and the moment is lost. How disappointing coach waits till
were 20 down facing elimination before he gives him a shot.Anyone
out there still saying Knight deserved his minutes this season?Ahh,
and the token ejection too.. oh well, after 21 years maybe next year he will
address the defensive philosophy and his own thinking on rotations and putting
time into young players that are actually still learning(yes some players still
need to be tought) and we will have a shot..or maybe not.It has to
be said that the man has been a great servant, and he has acheived plenty. But
even the very best cant go on forever, and the time comes for us all. The most frustrating thing is that management are so blind/scared/not
interested in a title to make the call.So i appeal to the man
himself..Please retire Jerry.. Please!!!!!
Jody, as anyone who has done sports rehab can attest, and any sportswriter worth
their salt should know, the term is "ice and stim" not steam. The stim is short
for electrical stimulation, which is done to help encourage the muscles to heal
faster. The fact that I'm on here correcting this kind of error is
indicative of my level of frustration with the Jazz. There are plenty of
excuses - not enough heart, too much Knight and not enough Price, injuries,
chemistry, coaching, etc. I just hope Greg Miller and Kevin O'Connor come up
with a good plan for next year.
Okur can't leave us. We need him, he's the moneyman.
