Watson fuels Utah's decisive Fourth-quarter surge as Jazz shoot down the Lakers
It was a real grinder type of game until the Jazz opened it up, spearheaded by
Watson's play. Don't forget the Lakers had to be a little tired in the second
half, but still, great team win for Jazz. Good to see Favors and Kanter being so
productive. Kanter had a couple of put backs where he powered it in, something
he was not as good at earlier in the year. Now let's see if the Jazz can go 3-3
in the next six.
Kanter is learning to get the ball in when there's a crowd under the bucket but
for his development he needs a lot more playing time than he's getting, other
than blocked shots his defense is much better than Jefferson's already. He and
Favors should never get less than 20 minutes PT. Coach Corbin seems to feel like
Jefferson and Milsap have to get 32 to 36 minutes whether their playing good or
Excellent game by the Jazz. Balanced effort for the whole team. I liked how
Corbin threw Howard, Hayward, and Bell at Kobe. It threw him off, and made him
constantly change his style on offense. Our bench kicked the crap out of
theirs, and Fisher and Artest were non-factors.That being said, we
were not too far off from giving the game away. If Barnes had been hitting from
beyond the arch, the game may have turned out differently. We are still having
a lot of trouble guarding the 3-ball. Not sure if that problem will ever be
solved this season, and I still prefer teams shooting there than in the paint.
Earl Watson is the emotional leader of this team. Good job Earl. The Jazz
probably would not have won without his 4th quarter effort.
