The headline declares, "Many Americans resist race labels in census".
Yet, after reading the story it appears that most of the cases suggest that
rather than resist race labels, what is really desired is to have more of them.
Completely the opposite of what I would like.I have a dream, that
someday we will finally dispense with the all ridiculous racism exemplified by
the every expanding "diversity" of racial categories and accept that,
in fact, there is only one meaningful "race".It is the one
I always use when so insistently asked by the our government, that has become
increasingly immersed in institutional racism. The race I write in is simply,
For a post-racial nation we sure keep pounding out racial differences. No
wonder we never transcend the issue.
