The light is beginning to shine on Gingrich as someone whom the other GOP
congress members did NOT like working with. Not a good sign. Gingrich has tried
to side step this and re-invent himself over the past 20 years but the past is
the past and you have to talk about it sometime. Mitt has had to explain his
past but Gingrich seems to want to avoid the subject .... why was he run out of
congress on a rail by his own party?
Thank you for speaking out Bob Dole. Gingrich needs to be stoped. Newt is the
wrong man for the job.
Newt..Newt..Newtgood thing for your past as it gives the papers
something to write about.what they seem to be avoiding is any talk
about how you or gov Romney will find jobs for the unemployed, rein in the
spending in the military, put tighter controls on banks who have been bailed out
and yet still are lavishing bonues on top execs, end government waste.Mr. unelectable Ron Paul dares to address these issues but is shunned by media
and those he opposes. Party is still looking and afraid to endorse the current
group of candidates. If Newt does win for the party, hopefully he has
learned some things over the past 20 years.
Personally, I don't like Newt and some of his ideasBut also, I don't like
the idea of our first lady being an adulterous woman who had no problems
sleeping with a married man. Is this REALLY the woman we want to put in the
spotlight for the whole world to see and except as the "best" of women
in the US, and an example for our daughters to follow?
doug doug doug, it is Newt's past that defines him.It is what the American
people need to know to decide if that is the typeof person we want
representing our country and our way of life.As for me, I'm ready for
someone who doesn't fight with everyone he workswith, including his own
party. That's what speaks volumes about Newt and that's exactly what we
don't need another four years of.I'm ready to try someone who knows the
importance of a business being profitable and who has nothing more to attack
than the fact that he's rich.If Mitt were a Catholic or a Baptist
this circus would all be over in a land slide and people would admire him for
his business genious.
Gingrich would be 1000 times better than Obama however I don't think Gingrich is
the purist conservative that many have assumed upto this point. I think also
Gingrich is sort of like a time - bomb waiting to go off at some point. You
never know what bizarre thing he is going to say sometime such as colonization
of the moon nonsense. Having said that - I would take Newt in a heart beat over
what we have now in the White House ... which is an empty suit that knows just
enough to be dangerous.

I do not watch the daily show with Jon Stewart but I saw one from earlier this
week that was spot on about Newt. You can check it out on Hulu.In
response to Newt claiming he was not a Washington insider, Stewart said that he
was the definition of what an insider is; "if Washington gets it's prostate
checked, Newt gets tickled." He also talked about his hipocracy regarding
womanizing. I rarely agree with anything those guys have to say on comedy
central but this one is worth a laugh, but you will be nodding your head that he
is speaking the truth.
Newt's claiming he is conservative and then not denying he spent up to $500,000
for jewelry from Tiffanys is amazing. He says it is his own business but when
his wife put it on her disclosure forms when she worked for the Federal
Government, it must have been a concern in the government for her position.
That was 6-7 years ago when he might not have been thinking about a run for the
Presidency but it is a factor for a man who pushed others to show their earnings
through the IRS income tax release of information. It is relative as
he and others have attacked other candidates for the use of their money. If you
donate to a 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or similar type charity that
is one thing. If he was spending that type of money in the 2004-2006 timeframe,
when Freddie and Fannie were having their hayday, then that is a potential
problem for him. I don't hear him talking about any volunteer work he has done,
only about money making propositions for him. I don't see him acting with
benevolence to anyone or anything except jewelry including necklaces
Senator Dole's comments speak books on Newt. If he wins the nomination, people
won't go to the polls as at least people know Obama. Also, they know Newt,
also, and know he won't have anyone that would want to work with a guy like
that, whether in the cabinet, agencies, personal staff, or even a non-appointed
Czar. It will be a hard position to be in if you had to work for him. I am
sure it is not easy working with the current President as they are starting to
exit for other things now. Newt is a loose cannon plug but is smart
to say something but isn't smart in how he applies what he thinks about. He got
elected but the leadership in the House was devastating for the Republicans.
That same type of leadership will be in the White House and will be much more
devastating and it will be the Republicans and the whole country. You have to
have good, reliable, trustworthy and dedicated people to run the executive
government and if his House colleagues are a sampling of what they think of his
leadership, then we have a lot of trouble looking for leaders
If Newt hadn't wrapped himself with Reagan, perhaps some of the comments that
have been madeabout him would have remained hidden, but you can be sure
that the Democrats would have made good use of them if he had become our
candidate. Better now than later.
