Pitta. He's awesome! And....he's a former Cougar.Ooooh.....Ute
fans have just gotta hate that.(which is exactly why I said it)Go Cougars!
With my Eagles watching the playoffs at home. I am cheering for a
49er-vs-Ravens Super Bowl. With Pitta scoring the winning touchdown that is set
up by a Alex Smith interception. Go Cougars and Go Ravens.
As I Ute fan I always liked Dennis Pitta, he seemed to be one of the few BYU
players in the Max Hall era that could get interviewed without creating
controversy. Which is the only reason I read the article. Funny that the 2
comments from the Y fans is about the Utes though! Haha. Always have to compare
themselves to their big brother even after the players are long gone to the NFL,
As a BYU fan, I agree with you, niners. Looks like some BYU fans are adopting
the little brother syndrome openly. Look, I'm jealous of the Utes
position in the Pac 12 too, but we can keep it hidden, can't we?
I love seeing guys from our local colleges excel in their field. it adds some
notoriety to the state, the more former Utes, Aggies and Cougars we can get into
the super bowl the better i say. Go Utes!!
Agree with sports fan here. Once a local player reaches the pros, let's put the
rivalry aside and wish them all well.I'd like to see the Ravens beat
the Niners in the SuperBowl too but it has nothing to do with what college any
of the players are from. I just like the Ravens more.
@DC DC...Just another Ute Incognito.
If it's not the Bears I don't watch.
Pitta is turning out to be another former BYU tight end to excel in the NFL.
Saints, Ravens, Packers and Pats will win this weekend.
Glad to see Pitta doing well.Nice guy, great abilities. Keep it up.
Not a byu hater, But a Ute fan. Good to see Pita doing great. I hope all state
of Utah players do good execpt one. He played for the Cardinals
Love Pitta, hate the Ravens. He is a great player.
Way to go, Pitta! Re: BleedCougarBlue- "Pitta. He's awesome!
And....he's a former Cougar. Ooooh.....Ute fans have just gotta hate
that."It makes absolutely no sense at all for the Ute jab. I
love my Cougs, don't get me wrong, and certainly dislike the team "up
north", but you do other Cougs fan no favors by throwing a written jab
that's entirely unnecessary. Comment on the article (Pitta) and move on.
Pitta is the real deal. It is a good thing that his qb is not a Brees or Brady
because he will get a higher perecentage of the throws his way because of it.
But what this article doesn´t state is that besides the departure of
Heaps, Pitta is getting the playing time because his work as a pass protector
and run blocker. Only see him getting better. Fun to watch him play
and best of luck in the playoffs.
I loved watching Pitta play at the Y. And it's great that he's having a chance
to compete in the NFL and do well. I love to see what the local college players
can do at the next level. Several playoff teams have local
players:Broncos: BeadlesPackers: Bush, So'oto, SmithsonRavens:
Pitta, David Reed, Paul KrugerNiners: SmithTexans: McCainSaints: McQuistan (Weber St.)Pats: Cox
He's a credit to every place he's been. Good luck.
He was a wonderful player at the college level. Talented and he always seemed
like a guy with great character and intelligence. I'm glad to see him doing well
as a pro. (A Ute fan.)
Uh oh... he's playing on Sunday...
We loved watching Dennis Pitta playing at tight end at BYU. He was such a
outstanding playmaker. We wanted to see his brother-in-law, Max Hall, do better
in Arizona. It's been fun to see all players who have gone on and
represented all of the Utah schools so well. We especially keep tabs on Austin
Collie and Bryan Kehl. It's fun to see these players and others go on and do so
One of a couple Cougars I actually admired watching in college. Good receiver,
but still terrible blocker. Dances around in pass protection and has no base
under him.wwookie, your comment doesn't make a lot of sense. Pats
and Saints used their TEs probably more than anybody else in the league this
year. The only reason he wouldn't have as many looks from Brees or Brady is
because Jimmy Graham, Hernandez and Gronkowski are freaks at the position and he
would hardly see the field.
