Is Bama really the best? I am sure 1 loss Okla. St. doesn't think so. Also how does a 1 loss 7th ranked Boise St. end up playing in a non-BCS bowl. The BCS has messed everything up. The only way to solve the mess is a true play off of the top 16 teams. Then anyone in the top 16 feels like they have a chance and if you make the top 16 that team must be pretty good.

So the alleged #1 team, plays the alleged #2 team, and #1(voted)team alabama shuts the other team out?
    not much of a game
    not much of a championship

How is there "no doubt about it" (quoted from the headline)? Last I checked these teams are 1-1 against each other...knowing that, how can you say one is unquestionably better than the other? Looks to me like they are roughly equal.

All we know is that earlier in the year, LSU was better than Bama. And later in the year, Bama was better than LSU. Can't draw conclusions about which team is better based on that.

This game reminded me of the 3A championship football game in that the DH offense tried hard but couldn't get anything going, the defense was on the field the whole game, and they wouldn't put the backup QB in. Score of that game? 21-0
