Fact check: I think it is clear that when Romney is talking about the
Massachusetts Supreme court he is referring their interpretation of the
Massachusetts Constitution, which John Adams did help draft. Stop trying to
find miscues where there are none.
Venture Capitalists like Romney are similar to parents. They invest money and
time into various businesses and hope they will grow and prosper, much like
parenting a child. Both VC's and parents can rightfully take credit for their
"offspring's" achievements. After a child becomes an
adult and leaves home and becomes successful, can't the parents continue to take
credit for their child doing well? Likewise,a VC can take credit for a company
they nurtured and that continued to grow after their direct involvement ended.
Facts? Who needs facts when you're on the national stage. Not the candidates
apparently.Mitt also brought up the "Catholic Charities"
being "force" out of the adoption business. They weren't
"forced out". They chose to stop after being told they can't use
taxpayer money, some of which if from glbt couples, and then deny adoptions to
those very taxpayers. They could still operate if they want using either model
1) take tax money to operate and adopt to glbt couples, or 2) use their own
funds and no tax money, and refuse to adopt to glbt couples. Either model is
acceptable. All the candidates also supported forcing ALL glbt
couples in America to be immediately divorced.Sad and depressing
that Americans, especially those on the national stage, can be such craven
cowards and bigots.
