Jazz fail miserably at putting points on scoreboard
Yes, our shotting was woefull and i believe we should just play the young
guys.start with harris, burks, hayward, favors & kanter with
watson / tinsley, cj, howard / evans, milsap / evans & jefferson - bench
bell or use in trash time which will happen a fiar bit this season be on the look out & be aggressive for a trade anything to improve our
base for the coming 2/5 years. only keepers imo - hayward, burks, favors &
kanter all else available
Embarrassing performance by the Jazz. They need to apologize to the fans and
donate their paychecks from that game to a charity because they certainly did
nothing to earn them.
Perhaps some dis-incentives might work on the team. What if a player
did not hustle on the floor during the game they were forced to not ride the bus
but walk to the airport? Give them a downgrade on their hotel room. For heck sake fine them for missing shots (maybe not CJ only makes $300,000 a
month so he might be broke after two games)Force them to spend more
time with the Jazz shooting coach who has not been able to teach anyone to
shoot. Bell has never shot so poorly since coming to Utah, Jefferson went 2-16 last night, in fact the team went 2-25 in the first
half on a hot streak. Perhaps the Jazz might have to de-incentivise
the shooting coach, since they don't have the guts to fire him.Another game like that and the fans should charge the players for having to
endure such a bore fest.Who wanted the lockout to end anyway?Call the Jazz the Bain of our existence and have Mitt show up and fire
Why won't anyone state the obvious: Coach Corbin can't coach. The Jazz should
have run and run, but Corbin didn't let them. He left the entire team unprepared
by refusing to announce the starting 5 until the last minute. Last
year's horrible finish was apparently a sign of things to come.
Isn't it obvious why they couldn't shoot?1. The Jazz played against
a much better defense than the Blazers have.2. The Jazz are full of
newer players, inexperienced in playing with each other, let alone in the NBA:
that has a way of getting you out of sync so much that guys who usually shoot a
decent percentage, even against the Lakers, couldn't get into the feel of the
game.3. Hayward looks more like a rookie this year than last. That's
likely because of his good play at the end of last year on a team that was
mostly used to playing with each other. He'll look like his year-ending self
soon enough. There's only one way to go from such a dismal shooting
game, and that's up. But, how many games will it take to get out of that
bottom-out?Home games will help a lot with that.
We need a point guard that isn't overwhelmingly average at best. Also, what a
coaching failure by Corbin to not force his team into a fast tempo offense.
Here our young team is playing the "old" Lakers who are playing for
the 3rd night in a row, and the Jazz are walking the ball up the court. Huge
coaching problem, there has to be something better than Corbin out there.
RELAX!!! It was the first game of the year against the Lakers in L.A.! Since
when does losing a game like that mean we are doomed for the rest of the year?
The fact is, the Jazz will struggle on the road against playoff teams this year.
But as long as we beat a few of them and beat most of the non-playoff teams on
the road; as well as have a somewhat decent record at home, I will consider the
season a success. Do you people really expect a team with 7 guys that are 26
years old or younger to beat up on the Lakers? In their building? Come on!The Oklahoma City Thunder started out 0-8 in the 07'-08' season, which
was Kevin Durant's rookie season, and went on to a 20-62 record by the end of
the season! Then in the 08'-09' season they started out 1-16 and ended at
23-59!! Now they are the favorite to win the West!So once again...
Where did "World Peace" come from? He looks a lot Ron
And we're already hearing the "it's only one game" and "we need
to keep our confidence up." Do coaches and players get nauseous, anymore,
when they lose? Have we accepted losing to the point that we can just dismiss
the game, because it's only one game, and we're worried about our confidence for
the next game we won't be prepared for? Maybe it's time the Utah Jazz trade a
player for a sports psychologist!
wow...what an awful display last night's game was. Why is CJ Miles playing? He
missed like 100 shots. Surely this will be a LONG season if we start players
like Miles etc.
