Will miss you, Memo, and will be cheering for you. Memo is full of class and
gave the Utah Jazz everything he could possibly give.
Looks to me like this holiday gift certificate could more wisely be used prior
to the trade deadline, which is coming up shortly as fast as the universe is
spinning right now. It could be a valuable asset to facilitate any trade that
benefits the Jazz.( multiple team trades as well) So it would be wise to not be
to hasty and scope it all out. Point guard is a priority to look at it seems.
I could be wrong. Maybe this trade exception cannot be used in multiple team
trades or multiple player trades I don't know.
I won't hold my breath that the Jazz will make any "big moves" with
the trade exception.
More 2012 draft picks?
But don't you think you should have consulted with your coaching staff?
The ideal scenario in which we could use our trade exception would be if in the
draft we trade up for it by telling that team that we will take on their worst
contract and that we will give them our pick plus the warriors pick if we have
@MR-Is there anything positive in your life? It's Xmas, trying being a little
more positve. Money in the bank is nothing but good you "instant
gratification" generation people ought to try it, instead of spending
before you have it!
Just a thought. Trade Bell,Cj and trade exception to Philly for Andre
Iguodala. He still has a few years left of talent. I'm content with the team
except for the two guard. Get a player that can play three
positions, athletic, and can hit shots, plus a vet. Can this work?
This move by O'Connor and the Miller team brain trust was wise. To be blunt,
Mehmet Okur was ripe for a move and the $10.8 million gift card to be used later
was good. Memo is on the cusp of his career. I had my reservations about his
effectivness with the current Jazz roster; i.e. young, inexperienced, and
suspect as to what will happen this year. They don't have anyone to intimidate
at the center position. This has been a Jazz weakness since the days of Mark
Eaton and later Greg Ostertag. Defense down deep and on the parimeter is
suspect. They don't have one on one defenders. They are undersized. I like
the enthusiasm of Kanter, and Burks has potential. Tinsley and Howard are good
acquisitions. But this team will take time to jell, and is by no means a
playoff team. Get used to it. Some of the Jazz coaching staff is also suspect
as to how they will be able to work with the players. Corbin has a big job on
his hands. Management also has a big sales job on their hands to fill the
arena. Utah is fortunate to have a professional team.
A huge Memo fan, he will be missed. The trade was VERY good for us. Re: Fan
WVC expample - the Jazz could acquire A. Iguodoloa for JUST the trade exemption
and not send back any players back! (if I understand the 150 percent
rule)correctly)With all the teams that will be cutting salary before
next year the Jazz should be able to get something with this exemption.
