In the Portland game the other night I saw absolutely nothing from a single
veteran that makes me believe they did anything but deteriorate from last
season. Remember these are veterans not rookies. They have no excuse.Al Jefferson is turning into another version of Boozer. Says all the right
things and then goes back out the next game/the next seaason and does all the
same things he did before. I'm sure he will keep saying them until he gets
traded or his contract ends and he moves on to the next city who will be anxious
for his tall tales. The dude is a chronic NBA career loser. A guy
who puts up stats on bad teams. He is a black hole on offense. He never passes
and he stagnates any offensive flow. He is Boozeresque on defense.I
sure hope he makes a better showing tonight against portland but I for one am
already toxically affected by watching what he does to any offensive flow. All
four team mates stand and watch once he gets the ball because they know no
matter if he is double or triple-teamed he is going to force up a shot.
I'm concerned about 2 players. Jefferson and Evans. Jefferson being heavier is
not good and Evans being lighter is not either. Jefferson would be trade bait
before the deadline if he doesn't light it up at both ends of the floor, Evans
must be like A.K. was, just can't gain weight. Let's see how the 1st month goes,
then determine who goes and who stays. Rookies will be excused for mistakes,
veterans will not, and especially if the effort isn't there.
@Jazz Source..... All that from one preseason game.......Remember
last season it was a complete mess how could anyone perform with the clown act
that was D-Will and the circus that he created by running out a hall of Fame
coach and yelling at rookies on the floor during the game all the while being a
distraction in the locker room. I don't think we can judge big Al on a season
like that. Oh yea I forget Al played on other teams as well that were alot like
the season last year. I dont think he has ever been on a good team without
problems. I hope he does well this year, along with the jazz.
Amen Jazz Source. You are spot on!!
