Carlino was definately impressive. It's hard to believe it was his first
collegiate game. He looked like a veteran. As his chemistry improves with the
other players, this team will continue to get better. And Cusick is a solid
I was impressed with Carlino, but I was also impressed with Harrison. He has
come a long way since the season began. The first couple of games he had some
rough spots where it appeared the game was moving faster than he expected. If he
gets his foul shooting under control, he could turn into a pretty good player -
but then even Jimmer was only 50% at the line against the Warriors.
It is impressive to me to see the coaching job that Coach Rose is doing. He is
having to manage his players each week.I think the Cougars will be
I was most impressed with with Carlino's passing. He made a couple of passes
that were amazing. He looks like a true point guard that can score. I am
looking forward to seeing him develop along with Harrison, Austin, and the
Carlino is a freshman and played in his first real game in over a year. Although
his passing and defense were a little suspect, I think he looked very good. BYU
is going to have a great team for several years. Jabari Parker could do a
lot worse than to come to BYU.
Carlino was highly impressive, with two quick assists when he entered the game.
I was impressed with his ability not to be bothered by missing his first two
shots and then finding the hoop with confidence for the rest of the game. I also
loved his competitive fire. You could easily tell that he wasn't satisfied with
making a great personal debut; he wanted the win. I am very excited to see him
play over the next four seasons.
