That is the way to win!
Sanders will be able to help the bigs....do what? Find the bathrooms?Although Sanders has a long list of teams he has assisted for (noe of them
winners) he has never played as a big, never had to post up Karl Malone or even
Pao Gasol, let alone somebody like Nene or Odom. I would venture to
say that Kantor who has played overseas and practiced 4 years at a significant
college level would have a wealth more experience coaching bigs than someone who
is 6'6" and will stare these guys in their navels. It is nice
however that KOC and Corbin will have another friendly face in the locker room.
With our proven shooting coach, CJ percentage has dropped every year
the past 3 years, Fesenko shoots so poorly now he is not even on a team, and
Raja Bell worst shooting in his career last season.Jery Sloan world
class coach, Phil Johnson world class coach.Hornacek proven as a
great shooter but a viable non teacher of shooting. Sanders assistant coach of
D-League teams.Other teams should be shaking in their boots when
they consider our assistant coaches.
"What's U talkin bout Willis?!" I thought Gary Coleman was dead...
@Doug10I agree he doesn't seem like a good low post teacher, but you
cannot bag on Hornacek as a shooting coach. He improved Ak's shot immensely and
we don't know by any means if he worked with anyone else including Bell, Miles
or god forbid Fesenko. As big man mentors I think Milsap and
Jefferson are more than decent mentors for Kantor and Favors. I would love to
see Malone come in and teach a few things, but NOT be on the coaching staff,
because I think that would be detrimental to the team. Though we
know nothing about Sanders, he could know a lot about the low post despite his
size, but my knee jerk reaction is he doesn't, but I don't think the jazz would
have hired him for that specialization if he knew nothing about it.
@ Doug10. Where's Roosevelt? Do you play basketball there? What a negative
uncalled for comment! Most of us on this web page are glad to have at least
"1" major sports team in our state, you apparently do not. Oh well
those in the sticks don't understand what major league means it seems.
Well the Jazz blew it again. It seams like the Jazz are going backwards. I mean
Sanders. who he a no buddy. The teams he help coach were never winners, and he's
going to help the big men? Never happen!!! He's a loser!!! He and Corbin are
buddys I guess that's all that matters, not winning. What I would like to know
who's running the Jazz right now? Poor Mr. Miller is rolling over in his grave
right now. Come on people less get real hirer some one that played big like Karl
Molone. He knows what it takes to be a big man. Sanders when he played he got
push around all the time. The boss said the other day that this not a rebuiling
year, he's right it's a losseing year. It's time to change things now no next
the best guy...to coach big men...and im not sure if the jazz could get
him...its Moses Malone...he has the big guy skills we all want...aggressive
rebounder...low post threat...he will change all of our big men into bruising
For some reason...the nets got the better asst. coaches...PJ Carlissimo and
