As a hachetman, romney only knows how to attack.
......Newt Gingrinch is beginning to look more like John McCain all the
time...go Michelle and Mitt and Ron!...You're red hot!...this country needs to
be shaken up, so that change can happen.
Romney's record speaks for itself. He has made a living as a hatched man.. He
only has his best interest in mind....
Our government could use a good hatchet man... all sorts of programs need to be
Considering Romney is in bed with so many special interest groups, I am very
surprised in his attacks here! Is he so silly that he believes people will take
his attack seriously?
Corporations did not cause our huge deficit or high unemployment. Government
trade agreements and regulations have.We currently have an adulterer
running for president. We also have a president, who for some reason, gave up
his law license and has hidden his past.We need more smarts and
common sense for our next election.
Worf said: We also have a president, who for some reason, gave up his law
license and has hidden his past.False, look it up instead of passing
on bad information, you must have received the same email I did from others to
lazy to even go to snopes.
Happy Valley Hectic,Obama's legal license status is
"voluntarily retired". In other words he gave it up.
Pot meet kettle. Hillarious how Mitt, is courting insider George Bush while
calling another equal insider and insider. You should look at Mitt's foreign
policy consultants...its a verified who's who of George Bush rehash.
The press is making a big deal about Romney making an unprovoked attach against
Newt. Yesterday I read an article saying that Newt told his staff than would not
return the vicious attack by Romney but would remain respectful.GUESS WHAT? On November 28th, an article by Jeff Zeleny, reported that Newt
had taken the gloves off and attacked Romney...and this was the first blow,
folks. He said that he was a lot more conservative than Mitt and then added the
following:"I wouldn't lie to the American people, I wouldn't
switch my position". He also claimed to be far more conservative than
Romney. All you have to do is look carefully into Newt's record to know this is
far from true. And as far as being dishonest? If he lied to two wives, and if he
was dishonest enough to be bagged on an ethics violation and thrown out as
speaker of the house, you know this man has an honesty problem. And, he switches
Happy Valley Heretic,My sentiments exactly. Now turn that around. I
did the research on every charge against Romney and learned that the twists or
out right lies have been swallowed whole by most gullible Americans determined
not to like Romney. Do your homework without accepting the stories of either
side. There are facts for those who put in the effort.
I like newts politics but I would think it hypocritical for republicans to vote
for him when we condemned clinton for his adultery. President Hinckley called it
pathetic for the majority of the country to overlook clintons affair and the
same goes for newt.
Gingrich is the ULTIMATE Insider. Ethics scandal, money from big business, 2
spouses cheated on. Why is the Republican electorate allowing this guy to surge
in the polls? Republicans prefer this cheater over Romney says a lot about
Romney. Newt is part of the problem, not the solution.
Every politican has a history that changes positions or evolves with the times.
Newt has more than most with equally bad personal history baggage and evidently
is getting a pass. Mitt gets vilified and he has absolutely no personal moral
baggage. Seems like a double standard. Is it more than just political
positions or would Mitt's enemies do anything to stop a Mormon from being
elected?Read bewtween the lines about the search for the anti-Romney
and the secret Iowa meetings of church and other leaders with one goal to
coalesce behind one conservative other than Mitt. Anti-Romney and anti-Mormon
could be interchangeable in this situation. Why is it acceptable for
so many good Americans to be bigots towards Mormons. It may be veiled, but that
is what it is when polls show this to be true.Mitt is a good man and
would do wonders better than the current president. He is the only one in polls
thatis close to beating Obama. Newt or any other Republican candidate would do
better than President Obama.
The news story article said that Romney "attacks" Gingrich, yet is it
really "attacking" if one merely points out something that is true?We all know that an "attack" is when you criticize the person
themself and do it by saying hurtful, angry things such as "You're
stupid" or "You're an idiot" or "You aren't worth
anything". We all know THOSE type of statements are "attacks",
indeed, I bet every one of us reading these DesNews articles have been on the
receiving end of some of those kind of statements. And yet Romney
simply points out how Newt Gingrich has been in politics for decades and that is
labeled by the mainstream media as an "attack". It saddens me deeply
that the media SAYS they want politics to be 'clean' and yet at every
opportunity they can they frame something in a negative light. From
what I've seen, the mainstream media tends to do this even moreso if it can make
a conservative person look bad.In looking back at November 2010 and
looking forward to November 2012 I say: Finish The Job!
Wake up people!!!!! You know Mitt is the best candidate! He is no doubt the
best with solving economy! He has the knowledge and experience! In the words
of Gov Chris Christie, "wake up! He's the one who can beat Obama"!!!!
Why do you think deems are already putting ads out against him!! Like
duh..... They are scared of him!
There is something seriously wrong with the GOP when Newt is climbing back into
this. For tide of you when say you agree with hisolitics, be aware of what you
agree with.Infidelity, twice...that we know of.Ethics
question.Individual mandate health care pusherMade millions after
office from companies he helped as speaker. You all seriously agree
with this? Oh,btw, his personal life is part of his politics. When you run on
a platform of family values, claiming you have the right to legislate other
people's morality but are with your mistress while your wife is battling cancer
disqualifies you for any office.
Romney:- Valedictorian at BYU - Baker's scholar at
Harvard (go look it up)- Master's degrees in business AND law- enormously successful in private business, now worth between $200-$300
million (compare this to many of Obama's closest advisers who never had to turn
a profit or go hungry)- previous executive leadership experience as
a state governor, including Massachusetts' Commander In Chief of state military
forces- put aside partisanship prejudices/trash-talk by successfully
campaigning/winning the governor's seat as a Republican in a heavily
Democrat-controlled state LONG before Scott Brown- turned a loss
into one of the few profit-earning Olympics (Salt Lake) in 2002 -
turned Massachusetts' budget from red to black while governor-
volunteer service to community as a church leader for well over 5 years (Bishop
and Stake President)- would give ALL his Presidential salary ($1.6
million total) back to the American taxpayers if elected (yes, he's on record as
committing to this)- looks, talks and acts
"Presidential"- understands committment (never
divorced)- understands morality (never had an affair)-
understands family (5 kids)- willing to let all of America see his
birth/school records without a fightNope, nothing there that America
needs at all.....Romney 2012
I like Mitt Romney. I like Newt Gingrich too, maybe a little more than Romney
at the moment. The headlines use the word "attack" in both
directions, then the article gives the entire statements, in context, and they
don't seem like attacks at all.The real story here is that the
mainstream media portrays normal, dignified campaigning as "attacks",
either to smear both candidates or to provoke them into real attacks.I look forward to a good, honest campaign between the two. Then we will see
mean, vicious Chicago-style attacks from President Obama's surrogates in the
Talk is cheap and Newt's getting a pass because he is good at it. I really
thought we learned our lesson with Obama about that but maybe not. Are
Republicans really swallowing whole- his claim to be a reformed womanizing
adulterer and after his endorsement of Dede Scozzafava really believe he is the
premier champion of conservatitism and no he's not a Washington lobbyist, he
just gets paid big bucks to coach and teach the lobbyists how to lobby because,
hey, he knows first hand what worked while he was in the House. His wife's full
and amazing jewelry box is a testament to that but hey, this is not the sleazy
guy you seek, thank you Ethanol dudes. Well, I guess he can talk his way out of
anything. Perhaps that is what we need in a president? One could argue that
if Jack Flynt hadn't retired, we never would have heard of this guy.
A Vote for Newt, or any other GOP besides Romney= Obama 4 more years=My kids and
my kids, kids won't really know how great America is. This country is in a
serious tail spin (out of control) and it will get real ugly, real fast if
change doesn't happen.Romney is the best and only hope we have.
Both Romney and Gingrich best don their titanium armor. As Cain will, most
likely, be a bygone candidate soon, the heavy blasting of Romney and Gingrich
will begin. Both of their personal lives will be severely invaded. Understandably, that is why "The Donald" and others like him, do
nothing else but flirt with the possibility of a campaign.
Gingrich really? McCain the 2nd. Republicans are going to vote for a guy who
cheated on not 1 but 2 wives and divorced them both after they came down with
serious illness' No wonder clinton and the media are praising Newt and the DNC
is slamming Romney in ads. Obama wants to run against Newt because he will win.
Good job Iowa and New Hampshire, real smart!
I supported Romney in 2008, but his campaign (perhaps his principles) have
drifted since then. He is pandering to extremists while simultaneously striving
to hold on to the independent vote. He should have easily been the
front-runner, but clowns keep upstaging ... and outpolling him. He lost me with
his "corporations are people my friend" comment. THAT is why the
country is on the verge of anarchy. Neither he nor Obama possess the leadership
to pull "the great society" out of its tailspin

Gingrich has the qualities you would want in a pundit or a good professor --
articulate, glib, ideas popping out of him 5 at a time some of them discussable.
He also like to do provocative acts, His leadership experience was in the
legislative, not executive -- and his record was (how shall we say) uneven. He
would make a charming candidate . . . for 1996.
When I hear Newt Gingrich speak, I feel like I need to take a shower. If by some
chance he won the republican nomination, I would feel sad for our nation. He
would make Richard Nixon seem like a boyscout.
