What a difference a week makes. Of course, I'll probably be saying the same
thing next week.... Rose. If Oregon wins the civil war, the Ducks
will go to the PAC-12 championship and highly likely beat the South
representative. They have been eliminated from NC consideration. Therefore,
Ducks to the Rose.Next comes Stanford. If they finish 11-1, they
will probably get a BCS nod. Fiesta, against the Big-12 champion (Ok State or
Oklahoma)? Would be fun...Alamo. Assuming Stanford gets a BCS bowl,
conventional wisdom says that if Arizona State wins out, at 8-4, they would be
the most lucrative. They will face a very good Big-12 team, like Kansas State or
Baylor. Good luck Devils.Holiday. A Utah team that is 8-4 would be
tough to pass up---unless UCLA upsets USC, then very likely they will get this
bowl and they will be the team to represent the South in the PAC-12
championship. Opponent? Another strong Big-12 team. Texas or TXA&M maybe?Sun. I think this would be a nice fit for the Utes. Opponent? Virgina,
GATech, FSU?Gonna be interesting. Good luck Friday, Utes!
And of course, as I write this, Arizona State is about to go down again.
i predicted utah oregon title game weeks ago. You all mocked! Utah over ducks
Believe it or not, the Rose Bowl is still a possibility. Utah has come from the
depths of impossible. After going 0-4 and playing a new QB, the Utes are one
week of good fortune away from the PAC 12 title game.
I'm excited for the end of the season! I couldn't have said that a few weeks
ago. If both ASU and UCLA lose next week, we will be going to the first ever
Pac 12 title game! It's a real possibility especially with the way the teams
involved in those two matchups are playing right now.Go Utes!!
ASU is playing so bad right now they could lose to Cal. And i would say USC
beats UCLA so we do have a chance. No way could we beat Oregon, with our
offense, u have to score a lot of points against them and i don't know if we
Chris B predicted a Rose Bowl for the Utes 4 weeks ago, to be honest, I was
embarrassed by his comment. BUT! Look at where we are at today!Chris B for President!Hang in there band of Lil Brothers.
Copter Bowls not so bad.
I'm trying to decide if the bottom of the PAC is better than I thought, or the
top of the PAC isn't as good as I thought. Crazy day in the West, that's for
Utes, some reality for those of you with bright red tinged goggles on. Your
offense is not good. Really. Zero passing yards in the first quarter?. The Ducks
defense is good. If you back your way into the champ. game, Oregon will destroy
you. It will be exactly like your bowl game last year. You will be embarrassed
and the rest of the football fans around the country will have a hearty laugh at
how pathetic your team really is.I can hear your response now.
54-10. Come up with something relevant to the topic here.
YBU fans just need to go away. I would rather have a fighting chance to go to
the Rose Bowl than play against nobodies all year long. The worst Utah can do
is the Sun, Alamo, or Holiday Bowl. It is so much fun being in the PAC 12 I can
hardly stand it. Go Utes!!!!!!!!! Oh, and by the way, 54-10 is still very
Colorado=nobody.WSU=nobodyOr. St.=nobodyUCLA=nobodyMontana St.= nobodyUtah+very small share of the conference money
ATTEMPT #2:wardu epitomizes BYU fan mentality... better to avoid
playing a meaningful game than risk the possibility of losing.(Note:
Attempt #1 was rejected by Deseret News for using an "unallowed word."
That word, evidently, is a four-letter word starting with Z and ending with B,
a term which actually only refers to the irrational subset of BYU fans. So my
apologies to the rational Y fan-base who might feel lumped in by the more
generic reference. LOL!)
The illogical Y fan base owes someone an apology for beating yourself 54-10.When one loses, perhaps the better team won. It's not the first time you
have had a rash of turnovers. No fluke.
Odds,in my mind, are:USC beating UCLA 80-90%Utah beating
Colorado 80-90%California beating Arizona State 60%Odds all
thee happening (.8X.8X.6) = 50%50% chance the Utes are in the first
every PAC-12 Championship game! (I know - USC ineligible - but maybe that's why
they are so good) And this with the Utes playing 71/2 games with a division two
quarterback and seven vital players out for the season. How is that possible?
First - coaching. Second - team attitude. How a recruit, if given the chance,
could choose Arizona State (and many others) over Utah defies logic. Perhaps
professional opportunity and skill development isn't important to them.
Congrats Utes. Four weeks ago, I thought you were headed to the New Mexico bowl
at best, or more likely the local BOWLing alley for December. Congrats on
pulling it together. The PAC12 is clearly divided into three very
good teams, five middle of the PAC teams, and four cellar dwellarsVery good teams = Oregon, Stanford, USCMiddle of the PAC = Utah, UCLA,
ASU, Washington, CalCellar dwellars = Colorado, Arizona, Washington State,
Oregon StateAlthough Washington is playing poorly without their
starting QB, ASU is clearly not the same team as the first half of the season,
and WSU has played well at times.I'm happy for the Utes, but every
college football fan would love to see a rematch of the Oregon vs USC game in
the championship game instead of Oregon vs UCLA, ASU or Utah. Unfortunately
Oregon by 20+. They are clearly in a different league than any of their
potential foes.Hopefully, Utes can make it to the championship game
this year because something tells me USC will win the South 9 of the next 10
Re: Who am I SirActually:Odds all thee happening (.8X.8X.6) =
38.4%Regardless of what happens the Utes still will be going to
their best non-BCS bowl game ever. What a difference it makes to be in an
