This game will be a decent test for Coach K and the boys. It looks like they
are still working on getting the chemistry down and getting a feel for each
other. I hope they get it figured out by tomorrow night or it won't be pretty.
I wonder how many utes will run from the team this year after they start their
losing streak. It will suprise me if no one leaves and I will lay odds that
there will be some de-commits by the time the season is through. The door mat of
the pac 12 will be so bad that they will have to start recruiting from the
community colleges in North Dakota and Montana to get someone to play for them.
defibman -Though you clearly want to see Ute recruits and players
continue to bail, it won't be happening.Think about it for a second...the
players that stuck with the Utes would have no benefit to leave now because of
transfer rules and what year they are in school. As for the new recruits,
both current 1st year players and next years class, do you honestly think a
tough year will surprise any of them? They were all aware of the mass exodus
before they signed. Meaning they know full well the challenge ahead for the Utah
program and they all signed on to be part of that rebuilding process and the
opportunity for playing time that comes with it.I know you and others like
you are anxious to see the Utes keep falling but the fall will be over after
this season. This staff is getting the right kind of player and the right
kind of commitment from these new recruits. It won't be long before Utah is back
to being the best program in the state. I give it 3-5 years tops.
@ MotorbikeAnd all the others from the last two years didn't know?
LOL !All it takes is for a new recruit to enter the HC and see all
the empty seats and one little thing to go wrong and it is all over again.
Transfer rules are transfer rules and it didn't seem to stop the others from
running away from the train wreck! In 3-5 years from now, the program will still
be on the bottom of the pac 12 and still trying to find some good players to
come and stay long enough to finish the season. Just sit back and enjoy the
constant scene changing with all the faces coming and going. Then all you ute
fans can say, "Hey, they used to play for the u", and try to adopt
them as their own.
defibman -What don't you understand about NEW COACHING STAFF and
that players are making a commitment while Utah is at their low point.Your
rational, or lack thereof is complete fluff. There was a time to bail and
those that wanted to bail obviously did. Feel free to come back and let me
know I was wrong when ANY of the current players and committed recruits go
somewhere else. Pretty confident I won't be hearing back from you on that.
