So the 3 small market teams that probably wanted to accept the deal and start
the season most did not send their reps to the meeting? Why on earth would you
not have 1 of the many other Jazz players go in your place!!! Oh, no big deal
if they cancel the season I guess is your statement Raja! I hope
the NBA takes scabs and any player that wants to cross the line and goes forward
without the rest of the whiners that demand more money to throw a ball in a hoop
while 1/2 the teams are losing money! In return they could cut ticket prices in
half and I can say I would not miss watching those stuck up stars that do not
cross the line! Their out of this world mentality that they deserve more money
when most of the world is just barely scraping by in a recession is just CRAZY!
They have had BY FAR the most liberal contract of all pro sports and they won't
make any concessions even when 1/2 the league teams are losing money!!! I have
ZERO RESPECT for any player supporting this anti-trust lawsuit!
What Terry said! Yet, the RICH TEAMS...Orlando, LA Lakers, NY Knicks, etc. they
could care less about anybody else. Their coffers are FULL! They do not want a
change. That means in the future the other teams would be catching up if things
were done RIGHT.
Couldn't care less is the correct way to use that statement. If you could care
less, it means you could care less. Just a quick Englsh grammar lesson. I bet
the Jazz players would have voted to play.
Don't feel bad, Utah Jazz. The fans don't have representation, either.
I would pay to see minor league players cross the line and have tryouts for
teams. I'll bet we could get 10,000 fans paying to watch games. Why not?
Raja is a solid guy. I hope his wife and kid are doing well. I can't blame him
It doesn't take a brainiac to see that the players decision was a terrible one
and that they will end up with a much worse deal when they finally decide they
want to play. The owners will now ask for a stricter (closer to a hard) cap.
They will demand the players get only 47% of BRI. System rules will be far more
restrictive on the players. I also hope that the players don't get guaranteed
contracts. The players should be able to see from previous pro teams and
their attempts to get better deals by filing an anti trust law suit ,that it
doesn't work out well for the players. Who are the players listening to? The
attorney's that talked them into this are scam artists and thieves.
