The Utes have a chance: FAT chance, as they say. Look for them in Vegas, El
Paso or Albuquerque...no where else this year.
Im expecting a sun bowl or better, with a better record than asu and a win and
better record than ucla I would expect an invitation to el paso before either of
After leaving Pullman with a loss this will mean nothing. Enjoy the New Mexico
Bowl Ute fan. The irony will be delicious.
The Utes have been feasting on these very bad PAC-12 opponents. If there ever
was a more over hyped schedule in the history of the state it is this PAC-12
season. There is not a single team outside of USC, which is not eligible that
is anything, but very mediocre at best. Nice that the coaching staff, which
also seemed intimidated has settled down realized these opponents are paper
tigers and begun to get their players to play within their capabilities. It may
be a little late, but with very winnable games in the next two weeks, and the
poor play of UCLA and ASU, it could be a great finish for this team. As for
UCLA, my goodness, they could not get a play off without a penalty the whole
The Utes have a great chance of finishing 8-4 which is where most of the local
prognosticators had them picked before the season started. Considering the
challenges they have had with injuries, Ute fans have to be very pleased. This
team has real heart. Imagine what we could do with a really good QB!The coaching has been phenomonal! UCLA fans have to be kicking themselves
over the fact that we got Chow and they kept Neuheisel. It's a great
time to be a Ute!
Utah is 5th in the PAC 12 power rankings this week! Not that it means anything,
but some respect from the PAC 12 analysts is always good
@ wardu: Who played in the NM Bowl last year?
Like I said, ASU is in a downfall. Utah is on a serious rise.Just
one game back from a three way tie with UCLA, Utah, and ASU. I heard after that
it goes to best BCS ranking. The way Utah is finishing and the way ASU is
finishing Utah will have the lead. An Oregon Utah title game would be
incredible. Our defense if the best in the pac 12 and their offense is the
best. Epic match!
Proud of how the Utes have bounced back!!! It sure is fun watching them play in
the PAC 12!!!
It would have been easy for the Utes to pack it up for the season. Congrats to
the players and Whittingham for pulling this season out of the fire. A Sun Bowl
Appearance wouldn't be so bad...better than what they would have had in the
MWC.At this point, it seems best for Utah fans to place their hopes
on an 8 win regular season. The chances seem so slim for a spot in the PAC-12
championship (though that would be cool).
This team has really come together in the last few weeks. Tough losses to start
the season like USC and than big losses against good teams like ASU hurt. I dont
know if huge wins against mediocre teams like bYu and UCLA will get us into a
good bowl game. This year is a good building year and it should help recruiting
for years to come.
The Utes have shown a lot of resiliency to bounce back from some bad losses this
year.5-4 in the PAC-12 will be very respectable. To the
BYU fans who just can't help themselves just remember 54-10. That is the only
score that matters between Utah and BYU this year and you know it. No matter
what you say, how you spin it, or what happens to either team from here on, you
got crushed head to head 54-10.
Congrats to the Utes on a great game! They played great in all aspects of the
game. Hope they continue to finish strong. Go Utes!
Thanks for Chow, Ucla!
The bitterness from down south is strong. First 4 posts are all anti-Ute posts.
Hilarious! It's weird that Utah even has a chance to play in the CCG.
I don't see ASU faltering though. There is a lot parity in the PAC12. Man, this
season is fun! It's great to be in this conference. Good games every week. Can't
wait to watch Utah dismantle WSU.GO UTES!
No matter what the haters down south try to spin up the PAC12 has eleven teams
with huge resources and access to top shelf talent. The fact that Utah is the
first (again) team to make the transition from mid-major to a true elite
conference with one hand tied behind their back (finances and injuries) and do
it successfully can't be dismissed. Players, coaches, administrators all deserve
a ton of credit. Finish the regular season strong and let the bowls fall where
they may. Go UTES!
"Although he declined to say it was magic or anything like it, the Utes
have played with more "emotion and passion" since the flat showing
against Cal.Utah's offense hasn't had a turnover since."I believe Utah's offense lost a fumble against Oregon St.
As my friends and I were at Rice-Eccles watching the game on Saturday we were
talking about how nice it was for the Utes to be playing teams like Washington,
Arizona St., Oregon St.,UCLA and Colorado every week (and that's just the home
schedule). The days of UNLV, Wyoming, New Mexico, CSU all distant memories. Life
in the Pac-12 is all it was cracked up to be. Even at 6-4(3-4. GO UTES.
Being a Ute fan is fun again. The team will have to be on top of their game
again this week in Pullman and I think they will be. We're seeing some respect
from the national media now and a couple more wins will keep that momentum
Gotta finish the season strong. As much as I appreciate the bold predictions of
New Mexico or Kraft from our friends down south (odd, they were convinced that
we would be 4-8 with no bowl game.... what happened?), if we win out, the Vegas
Bowl is the minimum with the Sun likely and the holiday a possibility. But first things first, let's not get ahead of ourselves (see: BYU,
preseason national champions every year since 1984). Let's focus on the Red
cougars and take them down hard this week.
Love me the Utes. The blue collar toughness makes them my favorite.
REAL DEAL--You are so right,my boy and I were talking about the same thing.
PAC-12 has been a riot and to see the teams that we have just makes it so nice
to be a UTE. I feel bad for these Y fans that are so negative towards the U.
They have absolutely no idea what they are missing.
The only reason the Utes "continue to progress" is because their
season-ending schedule is filled with cupcakes - not a single team with a
winning record in Utah's last five games, but Utah fans continue to rationalize
that their cupcakes are better than BYU's cupcakes. What a pathetic argument.
BYU's season-ending schedule included a road game against
19th-ranked TCU(8-2), a team that just beat #5 Boise State, on the road. Utah's
season-ending schedule included a home game against pathetic UCLA(5-5).For all of the Utah homers, please try to explain why any of these teams
shouldn't be considered cupcakes:OSU(2-8)Ariz(2-8)UCLA(5-5) - blown out 48-12 by ArizWSU(4-6) - blown out 44-21 by OSUCol(2-9)Remember, Utah's "improvement" is being measured
against Utah's cupcakes. BYU's cupcakes are irrelevant.
Its because they on in the pac-whatever the conference of champions the bcs need
I explain more
@midpacmajI am pretty sure UCLA, Arizona, Colorado, WSU are much
better than SJSU, Idaho St., Idaho, USU, and Ole Miss (just lost to LT 27-7, are
you kidding?) BYU barely beat that OSU team you are saying is weak...The WAC is
the worst conference in the nation!! Look up the conference rankings on ESPN,
yes the WAC is below the Sun Belt! BYU is playing the bottom half of the worst
conference in the nation. Utah is playing the bottom of the PAC. If BYU played
WSU, UCLA, Arizona or even Colorado, I would predict at least a 14 point loss
for BYU in every one of those games. BYU will struggle against NMSU and Hawaii,
while Utah beats two teams far better than NMSU or Hawaii. Now that being
said, I understand BYU had to make a schedule at the last minute and that is why
their schedule is so weak. But for your sake do not make such foolish comments
like BYU and Utah's schedule are similar in strength. Most BYU fans would even
laugh at the statement you made.. Colorado would win the WAC buddy...
midpac,We're one game back from a Pac 12 title game and Rose Bowl
midpac54-10, that's the only measuring stick you need
midpaclol! your logic is hsyterical. I am guessing you are a
parody account, similar to Chris B?
niners, billybubba, Lifelong Ute, pocyUte, Kosta FesenkoFAIL!Not one of your addressed the salient point of midpacmajor's post:Why should every one of these teams be considered?OSU(2-8)Ariz(2-8)UCLA(5-5) - blown out 48-12 by ArizWSU(4-6)
- blown out 44-21 by OSUCol(2-9)Personal attacks and weak
strawman simply prove what is obvious:The PAC 12 is filled with
cupcakes; you just don't have the guts to admit it.
It must be really hard for the outsiders to look in and see what is really going
on.....BYU beat a bottom of the barrell pac-12 team by 10 points.
They beat two teams from Idaho by 35 and 53. To claim that BYU's cupcakes are
on par with Utah's is truly laughable. And congrats on
"playing" TCU..........that doesn't count for anything.
SnackI disagree that the PAC 12 is filled with cupcakes. Do you
honestly think any team in BYU's last 5 games of the season, outside of TCU who
beat you soundly, would compete at all with the 5 teams you and midpac
listed. Those teams aren't very good, but they have something that
ISU, Idaho, Hawaii and New Mexico St don't have, legitimate athletes. Are you calling ASU a cupcake? They were ranked before they were beaten by
WSU, and UCLA 2 of your supposed cupcakes. What you and other BYU
fans who continue to fall all over themselves trying to tear down Utah is the
fact that the more you try and denigrate the Utes, the more you demean your own
team.Frankly, judging by the scores of the games, one could make the
argument that BYU was Utah's biggest "cupcake" of the season.
cupcake has such a connotation of byu's schedule. no byu fan can look at utah's
back end of the schedule and judge it for being soft without looking at their
whole schedule. is there any byu fan out there that can honestly say they'd
rather play teams from the wac over teams from the pac?everyone
knows oregon state, coloroado, wsu and arizona are the bottom half of the pac,
but utah's winning. i recall at this exact time last year byu sure was hitting
their stride by feasting on the likes of wyoming, unlv, new mexico and colorado
state.you want cupcakes?ole miss (2-8)ucf (4-6)usu (4-5)sjsu (3-7)osu (2-8)idaho st (2-8)idaho
(2-8)nmsu (4-6)i'll take utah's "cupcake" schedule
over byu's pop warner schedule anyday.
Agreed, PAC 12 Cupcakes:OSU(2-8)Ariz(2-8)UCLA(5-5)WSU(4-6)Col(2-9)Despite all of their rants, Utah homers
couldn't come up with a single valid argument to refute the obvious, that OSU,
Arizona, UCLA, WSU and Colorado are all cupcakes.
funny thing is, BYU is hanging their hat this season on their win over Oregon
State! They are just a bumb in the road in the Pac-12! LOL!
Christy54-10 over the biggest cupcake of all
Christy, midpac and snackBetter to play the cupcake than be it,
thanks for padding our schedule. We look forward to it every yearsincerely every Ute fan
Utah fans, don't get wrapped up in the game of trolls like Christy B and Snack
PAC. These are the same people who three weeks ago were saying that Utah would
go winless in the PAC12. Since that obviously didn't pan out, they're just
moving their smack down a couple rungs on the ladder.PAC12 >
Being alone54 > 10
@midpacmajor,Remember, Utah's "improvement" is being
measured against Utah's cupcakes. BYU's cupcakes are irrelevant.you
couldn't have said it any better. Atleast Utah's so-called cupcakes have a name
and PAC-12 tradition. Well byu's are....well. IRRELEVANT. ha ha ha
@Christy Byou didn't read any of the comments did you? No one is
saying that Utah is beating powerhouses.....go back and read pocyUte's comment.
If you can't get that, find someone to explain it to you.
One thing I don't think anyone's talked about regarding Utah's bowl game
projection is that Oregon beat Stanford on Saturday. That means they both have
just one loss. As long as Oregon and Stanford do not choke the rest of the
season (possible with Oregon playing SC and Stanford playing ND), they're both
most likely headed to BCS Bowls. That means Utah has a better chance of being
in a better bowl game with 1 more PAC-12 bowl spot vacated. If the dominoes
fall right (not likely), they could be in the Alamo as the #3 team from Pac-12.
Or, the Holiday Bowl in San Diego is not out of the realm of possibilities.
Gotta laugh at the Catch 22 our insecure little friends on the hill have created
for themselves.Utah's ONLY significant win this season is beating
BYU, so by devaluing their only win against a D1-A team with a winning record,
they foolishly devalue the only meaningful win they have. They must
enjoy poking themselves in the eye to make themselves feel better. It's funny how Utah fans gave BYU absolutely no credit for sometimes huge wins
against PAC 10 teams like Oregon(38-8), Oregon State(44-20), Washington(23-17),
and UCLA(59-0), when Utah was playing in the MWC, but now that the Utes are
playing in the PAC 12, every PAC 12 team is the greatest thing since sliced
bread.Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Kosta FesenkoReading comprehension: go back and read midpacmajor's
initial post, then try to explain the inane babble of Utah fans that followed -
not a single Utah fan made a cogent argument why Utah's season-ending
"turnaround" shouldn't be attributed to an endless series of cupcakes,
rather than actual improvement. Why should any Utah opponent on that
list NOT be considered a cupcake? This isn't about BYU; this is about
Utah, so try to stay focused. If you can't argue the point without bringing BYU
into the mix, then your argument is shallow and meaningless.
EssOhWith Stanford's humiliating loss to Oregon, the PAC 12 has
absolutely no chance of getting two teams into BCS games this season. Oregon is
headed to the Rose Bowl unless LSU, OSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma all lose a game,
Jealous Ufunny, because in Utah fan's mind, BYU was our least
significant victory. It was the easiest by far and the one that put most of us
to sleep. We just bring it up so often because it gets you trolls so angry.
And even if we did only have one significant victory, that is one
more than BYU has this year, and one more than BYU had last year........good bye.
@skywalker:With 10 BCS spots open and limit of 2 teams per
conference, SEC and Big 12 will get 2 spots for sure. That's 6 more available
spots. I don't think there's any way Big East, ACC & Big 10 will produce
more than 1 team each. Then, there are still 3 spots open. Pac 12 Champ will
fill one spot (either Oregon or the team that upsets Oregon). Now, 2 left.
Most likely, unless Houston chokes, they'll get a spot as a non-auto qualifier
in the top 12 BCS ranking. Now, wouldn't a BCS Bowl love to take a one loss
Stanford with Peyton Manning, Jr quarterbacking?
@skywalkerjust about everyone except for you is predicting that
Stanford will go to the Fiesta Bowl. hmmmmm experts or a disgruntled, jealous
fan? Who do I think has more credibility? @Jealous U*sigh* go back and read my post. The post by midpac got the response it
deserved. if you wnat to be taken seriously, make a real point.
@ Jealous U: "It's funny how Utah fans gave BYU absolutely no
credit for sometimes huge wins against PAC 10 teams . . . Their hypocrisy knows
no bounds."Your hypocrisy apparently knows no bounds either, as
you cougs seem so intent on discrediting our wins against PAC 12 teams.
hmmmmm every expert out there disagrees with skywalker.....should I believe
experts who do this for a living, or a disgruntled, jealous fan? Its a tough
call.....but im goign with the experts.
Kosta FesenkoThat's the best you can do?The only reason
the BYU win was easy is because BYU gift-wrapped it for U.BYU =
least significant victory for UtahBYU = most significant victory for
UtahGotta love the irony of an entire fanbase living in denial of
being obsessed with the team they supposedly "left behind" in June
Kosta FesenkoWhat's your point? Who has/will Utah beat
in their last five games that shows that Utah has improved since losing to
California, ASU and Washington?Stop dancing and answer the question!
I quickly scan the comments, and yes, it has turned into another BYU vs. U of U
slam session. Congrats to both teams for a relatively good year.
As a Cougar/Ute fan, I wanted to see our Utes in the Rose Bowl, but there is
next year with so many juniors on the team. And I wanted the Cougs to beat
Texas and TCU. They would be ranked right now if they had beat those teams and
not lost to Utah so badly. But that's football. Best of luck to the
Utes. If your squad performs well, they may face Texas in the Holiday Bowl.
Take those Longhorns down!
BYU fans arguing over their favorite pastries-Our Cupcakes whoop up
on teams like your cupcakes in non-conference games. Be real for once on your
quest to stay relevant.
PAC man:Who has/will BYU beat in the last 7 games to show that they
have improved since losing to Utah and Texas?
@Pac Manyou gotta watch the games yourself. if you can't see it for
yourself, you gotta take the blinders off (as do a lot of the Ute fans on here
who are still in denial thinking we have a shot at the conference title.)
The trolls need to realize an important thing in regard to Utah's supposed
cupcake end of year schedule. Those "cupcakes" all play in a very good
conference...meaning, OF COURSE they don't all have glamorous records, it's a
funny thing that happens in great conferences. Example: if the top 13
teams in the country were all in the same conference, then half the teams would
finish 6-6 or worse. Does that mean those teams were cupcakes?Now...I'm
certainly not saying Utah's last 5 opponents are among the best in the country,
and are the Utes playing the softest part of their schedule? Sure they are. But
are those opponents cupcakes? Put OSU, Cal, WSU, UCLA, Arizona and Colorado in
any conference other than the SEC, Big 10 and Big 12 and they'd all have better
records then they currently have. Any of those teams barring maybe Colorado
could be in the running for a WAC or MWC Championship. If you trolls can't
grasp that concept then so be it. The rest of us will just continue to roll our
eyes and laugh at the cupcakes on the Cougar Schedule.
PACmanawfully tough to gobble up that 44 point beat down, isn't it.
@ Every cougar fan on this articleWe know you are jealous, but
seriously. First it was cute, and now it's ridiculous. Are the teams that Utah
beat the last few weeks incredible. Absolutely not. Are they light years away
from anyone ybu has played the past few weeks besides a ho-hum TCU? You better
believe it. Has Utah improved over the past few weeks? Yes, they have. Will they
go to the Rose Bowl? I'd bet a lot of money that they don't. Is there a real
chance to get to the Conference championship game? Of course, albeit a small
one. It's really quite comical that ybu fans will trash Utah's
"cupcakes" (including your own team-priceless!) but then they say that
there is no way that Utah will go to the championship game. Which is it coogs??
Why is it hard to believe that UCLA and ASU could possibly lose their next two
games and Utah win their next two? I thought they were "cupcakes!"Remember when UTAH annhilated the coogies 54-10? Rise N' Shout! Lol!
If Utah beats Washington State and Colorado they will be 5-4 in the Pac-12 then
they will need UCLA to lose 1 game and they have Colorado and USC, and Arizona
State will need to lose there last 2 against Arizona and Cal.
Kosta Fesenko"you gotta watch the games yourself. if you can't
see it for yourself, you gotta take the blinders off"Congratulations, you finally made an intelligent post, which is exactly the
same argument BYU fans have been making concerning BYU's improvement. If Utah can improve against cupcakes, so can BYU.
1. Oregon and Stanford are predicted to go to the Rose and Fiesta Bowls
respectively. 2. To all the BYU fans, why don't you prove us Utes wrong by
actually being the better men and not acting petty, jealous, and spiteful on a
UTE article. The Utes are a good team who were able to make the most out of a
terrible situation. And yes, our closing schedule is weaker, but look at the
teams they've had to play as well. Oregon, Stanford, ASU, USC, and Washington
aren't patsies, so 5 assured losses for these "cupcakes" isn't that
surprising (Colorado's 9 are sad, I will admit).3. Ute fans, be the better
people and quit using the beatdown (I'm thinking of referring to the game as
this from now on, what do you think?) as a counter to whatever they say. Their
schedule was done at the last minute,so of course they could only get WAC teams
and a few FBS ones. We'll all see the true test of the future when they get a
better schedule and a better quarterback next year (though Bronco might bench
Mangum, the guy doesn't seem a good judge of talent)
motorbike"Put OSU, Cal, WSU, UCLA, Arizona and Colorado in any
conference other than the SEC, Big 10 and Big 12 and they'd all have better
records then they currently have. Any of those teams barring maybe Colorado
could be in the running for a WAC or MWC Championship."You
really believe any of those teams could challenge Boise State or TCU for the MWC
championship? Or beat Clemson or Virginia Tech for the ACC championship? Or beat
Houston or So. Miss., for the C-USA championship?Cal is the only
half decent team in that list and the Bears couldn't even beat UCLA.You seriously need to get off that PAC 12 koolaid and come to grips with
reality -- none of those teams would finish in the upper half of any decent
@ PAC manI will go with UCLA they had a winning record when Utah beat them
and had Utah lost the Bruins would have had the same record as Washington,
meaning Washington and UCLA are very comparable. Therefore from the Washington
game to the UCLA game the Utes have shown improvement.
... and the ticklefest continues! This is so fun to watch. LOL
at jealousBoth BYU and Utah lost the last time at UCLA....or did you
forget. BYU on the road versus the Pac 12....no so good.
Both teams should just get ready for their next cupcake.Got to
admit, the 54-10 cupcake was the best.
In response to midpacmajor and everyone one else's questions: Is Utah improving
over the weaker part of their schedule? Of course. Does it help give Hays more
confidence? Certainly, as it would any other team or player in the same
situation. Are the teams Utah playing cupcakes? Well I guess in the realm of
W/L, possibly. Based on rank of their SOS, not necessarily.OSU 24Arizona 12UCLA 19WSU 44Colorado 15And before I'm
accused of bringing BYU into the comment, I am only doing so to respond to
midpacmajor who mentioned it first. Yes BYU did play TCU(55) as one of their
last 5. Yes TCU beat #5 BSU (43). Both with SOS similar to WSU. However, the
win over Ole Miss (23) who may have a losing record but whose SOS is better,
looks pretty good. Wins and losses are what everyone bases "cupcakes"
on. Isn't the strength of the teams that make up those W/L, a better indicator?
But then even #1 LSU (18) SOS is lower than Colorado's. Luckily
they play the game, and stats on paper do not determine outcome.
dknight68"I will go with UCLA they had a winning record when
Utah beat them"Aren't you forgetting that UCLA was destroyed by
Arizona (12-48)?UCLA will finish with no better than a break-even
record unless they pull a huge upset at USC.
We have a lot of football left--13 Pac-12 games to be exact--to determine the
division winners. Six of those games matter to the Pac-12 South in terms of
determining the division champion.Using Massey's computation of the
probability of victory for each game, I looked at the 8,192 possible outcomes of
those 13 games and determined the probability of each outcome. In the
Pac-12 South, Arizona State wins it either outright or in a 2-way tie with Utah
93.58% of the time. UCLA wins it outright or in a 2-way with ASU 2.99%. Utah
wins it 0.56% outright or 2-way tie with UCLA. They go to a 3-way with 2.87%
probability and ASU wins all of the outcomes in the second 3-way tie breaker
(record against division opponents eliminates UCLA (now 1-2) leaving the
head-to-head of ASU over Utah). It never gets to final BCS ranking.Of course, we need to play the games, but while Utah has a chance to represent
the division it is very slim and UCLA's isn't much greater.
I posted some calculations a few minutes ago. They were based on Massey's
computed probability of victory for the road team:Arizona @ Arizona
State 6%California @ Stanford 3%Colorado @ UCLA 18%Utah @
Washington State 64%Washington @ Oregon State 71%USC @ Oregon 7%Colorado @ Utah 8%California @ Arizona State 16%La.-Lafayette @
Arizona 20%Oregon State @ Oregon 0%Washington State @ Washington
16%Notre Dame @ Stanford 15%UCLA @ USC 94%However, I had
an error. I had UCLA with an 18% chance of beating Colorado, which I realized
was probably wrong only after I added my comment. Using the correct UCLA having
an 82% chance of beating Colorado, it changes the results to be:Arizona State78.47%(outright or 2-way tie with Utah)UCLA11.69%(outright
or 2-way tie with Arizona State)Utah0.54%(outright or 2-way tie with
UCLA)303-way9.30%ASU still wins all the 3-way tie situations,
for a total probability of winning the division of Arizona State of 87.78%.Although Massey gives UA and UCLA 6% chances of beating their rivals,
they are rivals and who knows how that will play out.
Plenty of football left to be played!Excellent. Utah is
6-4. No more, no less. Hopefully they can continue to roll vs Washington State.
Utah's record against teams that are "Big Cats": 4-0Montana State 27-10BYU Cougars 54-10Pitt Panthers 26-14Arizona Wildcats 34-21Now. let's add the other cougars to that
From the bitter to the sweet, from week to week, I have to say that playing in
the Pac12 is an absolute riot. If this team finishes with 8 or possibly 9 wins,
I will be very proud of them. They lost a crafty, talented, veteran leader at QB
(who very nearly led them to a win in the Coliseum and they've worked a raw and
untested Jon Hays into someone who they can count on to not beat himself. So
much credit to this coaching staff. Last, but not least--the Utes have a running
back. Every team they've played for the last month has known exactly what the
Utes are going to do and the Wolfman continues to deliver. Great, non sloppy
line play and a defense that is a joy to watch. I can't imagine that ASU will
lose out, but stranger things have happened. Utah's strength of schedule is 38th
in the nation and the Sagarin (Predictor-the most reliable source of future
outcomes ever invented) has them ranked 26th in the Nation. This team could well
finish the season ranked.
Hellooo | 7:56 a.m. Nov. 14, 2011 Salt Lake City, UTThe Utes have
been feasting on these very bad PAC-12 opponents. If there ever was a more over
hyped schedule in the history of the state it is this PAC-12 season...."How is that BCS invite working out for BYU? Been very quiet lately.
Riddles -Shows how little you know about football if you don't think
that list of Pac 12 teams wouldn't cause those other conferences all sorts of
trouble. If Boise and TCU had to play the bottom 6 teams in the Pac 12 I
guarantee you there would be some Boise and TCU loses. No one in a conference
like that would run the table and it would be a crap shoot as to who came out on
top.The Wac, don't even go there.Conference USA and the Big
East...very much the same...it would be a conference of very similar opponents
and it would be anyone's guess who finishes on top. But simply look at
this...Utah waxed Pitt and Pitt is in the running to win the Big East. So if
Utah is a cupcake playing even lesser cupcakes on their schedule then it's
definitely safe to say the lower half of the Pac 12 would be top competition in
most other conferences. So if they're cupcakes...then what are they feasting on
in those conferences? Bon Bons?
motorbikePardon me while put on my high top boots, it's getting
'deep'. "Utah waxed Pitt..." wasn't this the game the
announcer apoligized for?Let me light another candle at the PAC 10.2
altar for you.
haha byu fans are seriously clueless to the game of football if they are really
saying utahs "cupcakes" are even close to being the same.. are you
serious???? LOL im dying laughing over here. byu fans are just showing their
true knowledge of the game which is.. a big fat 0.
Good luck on the right combination of W's and L's (by other teams) to get U into
the Championship game this year. If not this year, I don't know when U will
have a chance at the championship game. USC will win the South 9 out 10 years
going forward.North Division will stay competitive between
Washington, Oregon and Stanford most years. But USC is clearly the cream of the
crop in the South. That's not a shot at Utah, just reality.
