I watched the interview. I'm not sure Cain has much to worry about. This lady is
far from tramatized and seeking for justice. Let the real victims come forward,
look for records and get evidence the right way. Stop the
sensationalism and trying to dig up false witnesses.
Already the scoffing begins. Let's hope for her sake that she's a "perfect
victim" with no past that Cain defenders can exploit.
He stopped when she said "no". Forward? Yes. Presumptuous? Yes.
Borish? Yes. Disgusting? Yes. Harassment?--as a women I'm not seeing it. Did I
miss something in the article?
@tigger:"Did I miss something in the article?"You mighta missed the discussion about a stimulus package. I know I did.
Ironically this news about Cain is only emboldening his supporters. He's
actually gaining on Romeny because they have been able to make this out to be an
unfair attack.Poor Romney, he just can't get a break.
To tigger | 2:54 p.m. Nov. 7, 2011 Did you miss something? You bet
you did -- the fact that she shouldn't have had to endure that seal assault in
the first place.
stupid typo -- the last comment should have said that this victim should not
have had to endure the sexual assault in the first place.
If I had a silver dollar for every guy I told "no" because of similar
behavior, I'd have a nice collection. I was just glad that "no"
worked, because certainly it does not always get the message across, and that is
when real trouble begins. This whole mess is serendipity for publicity, or did
someone plan it?
I don't believe a word of it. For one, look at the picture of her at the press
conference. Does she look like a woman who was traumatized?I didn't
think so, either....
Let's put it this way, a "found" victim recruited by Gloria Allred has
to be prefect. Someone with no corroborating witnesses and thus no one to
contradict her. And someone who can shine in the spotlight while grinning ear to
ear and talking about how badly she was traumatized. Yeah, she's believable. In
a pig's eye.
I can't believe some of these comments! This is exactly why so many
women are afraid to speak out about these kinds of advances. It is
totally understandable why the other women in this case do not want their names
known. This woman is very brave to come forward.
Debore, She did not speak out until it became expedient and beneficial to her.
And the facts are, even if it happened, and I seriously doubt it due to the fact
that Cain has not had any reputation for this kind of behavior until it was
necessary to knock him out of the Republican running, when told "no"
he stopped! Heck, that doesn't even make a good made-up story!
Bruce A Frank,Maybe Cain did not have any reputation for this kind
of behaviour because he paid for the women's silence. Would he really do that
if he was innocent? Not once but several times?I don't know if
Cain is guilty and I am not trying to run down his reputation, I am only saying
that is is a scary thing for someone to speak out in these kinds of situations
and we should give them a fair hearing without attacking them.
Well, coming to the front with Gloria Allred guiding you by the elbow, is a very
strong knock against one's credibility! Bill Clinton set the
standard. If the stained dress hadn't existed, Monica Lewinsky would have been
discredited by N.O.W. and the other women's groups who attacked the friends of
Bill who came forward, and she would presently be on the dust heap of history.
Bill was shown to be the cad and defiler of women, including rape, and in a
short time all is "forgotten." Every woman who spoke against Bill was
pilloried. Every woman who spoke up about Bill's advances, reported the incident
to others who were friends of Bill at the time of the occurrence. I am not
surprised that none of the national women's groups have spoken out against these
women who claim to have been accosted by Cain. If it had been Bill. . .In this day and age with the laws and the PC-ness of society, you are proving
the rule the the woman's claim must not be challenged. And, is the reason that
companies pay when there is a claim, making it an easy pay day for many
unscrupulous women. Anita Hill was truly discredited, but it has left a smear on
the reputation of Clarance Thomas that persists to this day.
Good bye, Mr. Cain.
Bruce, you did an excellent job exposing the hypocricy of the left.even WITH the stained dress, the left and their lapdog media still
defended slick willy while attacking ANY woman who accused him.the
attitude when it was a dem was, "what can we do to deflect blame and
criticism?"the attitude now that it's a repub is "what can
we do to make things look even worse for him?"I'm not defending
or accusing Cain; I don't think he's the most qualified repub, but he IS more
qualified than the current disaster we have in the WH.Did he do it?
I don't know. If he did, shame on him. Is she a lying tool of the left? I don't
know. If she is, shame on her. but I do know there is a terrible double
standard by the leftist media in their "coverage".And
Gloria Allred? Isn't she the one who put a illegal alien housemaid in jeopardy
of deportation purely for political gain? What should that tell you about HER
