Obviously this has been a disappointing season. However, I haven't lost the
least bit of confidence of Whittingham in terms of our future Pac 12 play.
There is no doubt we'll be an above average Pac 12 team in the years to come.
The amazing things Whittingham has accomplished year in and year out with this
program are not flukes. There can't be 10 college coaches that currently have
better winning percentages than him. Yes, the quality of opponent has
increased. I'm convinced our quality will as well in the coming years. Bad year
no doubt - but still stoked about our future. We'll be back to fighting for
Roses next year!
Bill must we really refer back to your article of Sept. 22nd entitled "Utah
Utes Football: Utes have answered the critics"?Uh in that
article you told is that utah's defense was simply great and would be dominant
this season. Uh.....no. Blow outs at the hands of their last 3 pac12 opponents
giving up over 30 points in each game is far from "dominant".You also told us how stellar Norm Chow's offense was, LOL, not really much
more to say about that.LOL!
Duckhunter, you must have taken a wrong turn somewhere on the internet. This is
a Pac-12 article. The story on the local independent mid-major are back on page
Ducky doesn't post on BYU articles anymore after the 54-10 demolition. He was
so embarrassed he disappeared for 2 weeks and is now only trolling.
Obviously the single biggest problem with this years Utah team is all on the
coaches and their lack of success recruiting a couple of QB's that have both the
skill and experience to be quality backups. To go into their inaugural PAC 12
season with the cupboard bare, with only an injured and frail QB returning from
major throwing shoulder surgery is unthinkable, unexcusable. Utah recruited hard
a couple of quality QB's but got neither, obviously the net was not thrown wide
enough and having put all their eggs in one or two baskets backfired. I recently
read somewhere that starting a freshman QB (Wynn) efffectively shuts down the
pipeline of successfully recruiting other QB's for at least a couple of years.
This has proven true. The single biggest mistake made in the Whittingham era -
the lack of a quality backup QB - has destroyed any chance of the teams success
this season. Hays is not to blame for any of this, the kid is a warrior and I
pray he stays healthy.
Duhkhunter,If you want Bill to refer back to his article from
September, maybe you should refer back to all your boastful comments leading up
to September 17, 2011.Throughout the summer you made statements
about the future beatdown at LES on September 17th. This was your way of
dealing with the dust you were eating as a result of the Pac-12'S decision to
invite your rival at that time, the University of Utah. Uh......no, 54-10 was
the total opposite of your bold prediction based on hate, jealousy and envy.Throughout the summer you posted many times of Jake Heaps' greatness and
how Jordan Wynn would lose to the great byu QB at LES. Uh......no, 54-10 Wynn
over Heaps. Now you byu "fans" have thrown Heaps under the
bus and placed Nelson on the pedestal. Nelson has played against patsies while
Heaps played against the tougher opponents. Football savy fans know Heaps is
the better QB and has the potential to play in the NFL, something Nelson will
never do. I hope your cougars continues play Nelson over Heaps to torture your
new rival's fans from Cache County. LOL duhky, thanks for the laugh.
