Utah's offensive play has gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. Of the remaining 5 games, Utah is going to be hard pressed to find 3 wins and get to the NM bowl.

"Victories are the only way to get losses out of your system!" Funny quote that gave me a good laugh for the day.

Hang in there Utes, it's been a rough season. I think everyone has learned that the PAC is an entirely different animal. The Utes just need to work on improvement through the latter half of the schedule. Wittingham never gives up though, and neither does the team. They'll come out fighting. I hope Hays has a great game, he needs one for some confidence!

    Go Utes!!

    @ GoGetter

It isn't the PAC 12 that's a different animal, it's the abysmal Utah team that is the different animal. The team simply doesn't match the hype. And (this is laughable) they've already started trying to convince people to buy season basketball tickets!

Other than Colorado, which football games do the Utes have a prayer of winning? Remember, the Colorado game isn't exactly a gimmie the way Utah has been playing. Enjoy bowling this year at Rancho Lanes.

The Pac is strong this season but, I think Utah has also experienced some tough luck coupled with the fact that they've simply joined an unfamiliar league (one game every year or two against a Pac opponent makes it unfamiliar when compared to week in week out). I don't follow them as closely but, losing Wynn and DeVonte Christopher would hurt any team in any competitive conference.

This weekend's game should be very interesting. After watching OSU last weekend this would be a good win and probably keep Utah on track to go bowling. But, this offense is a lot better than Pitt's however the game is in Salt Lake.

This will be interesting. Too bad most of us won't get to see it.

I think Whit turns this thing around and we win out from here. I'll be there Saturday screaming my best. Will U?

It will be a miracle if they're able to even win one more game this year. Seriously. They need to get rid of Norm Chow.

I will be at the game Saturday and I hope Utah fans will continue to support the team through this tough time. Remember, we asked for tougher competition on a weekly basis. Now we have to support our team as they work to step up to that level of competition.

    TJ,

a big congrats on figuring out that Utah only needs 6 wins to get bowl eligible. We will take any form of progress with you that we can get.

@ toosmartforyou: Utah has a chance at winning every game from here on out. Remember, just a month ago after a 54-10 beat down, you cougar fans weren't feeling so confident. Now all the sudden you are acting like you're national champion contenders. Due to an easier schedule BYU has been able to turn things around, and as the Utes face the easier part of our schedule, we hope to do the same.

I will also be at the game Saturday and hope to see the stadium completely full just like every other game, and I hope to see the fans there on time and ready to go in their blackout gear. The Utes have given us plenty to cheer for over the past several years and they deserve our support as much now as ever before.

Get rid of Norm Chow? Really? I think he has called decent games, but it's tough to win when you've got a huge recruiting hole at quarterback. There is a reason that Hays was going to play at a D-3 school last year. He's also had to tweak the offense to protect the quarterback due to poor offensive line play (note the two backs in the spread formation). Norm Chow is far from the problem.

It'll be interesting to see how U do at home against the Beavs. It'll help shed light on whether 54-10 was a fluke or not. If you beat them convincingly, I'll be the first to congratulate you. If not, don't expect any sympathy from BYU fans. What goes around comes around.

pfffhhhh how?? By pulling an offense out of their hats?

    Oct. 25, 2011 4:17 p.m.

@ WA_Alum&Dad: perhaps the real fluke is BYU somehow scraping out a win against OSU. Just a thought.

@ Davis: Despite a rough season thus far, I still like the conference we were invited to over the conference you were invited to.

I just hope that Norm Chow can now put some emphasis on Offensive recruiting so that we can plug the holes, and get this thing turned around so we can compete. I think that the Utes will continue to find that defensive talent to keep the D clicking, but man I think Kyle really let the offensive side of the ball go down too far. We may struggle for another year. I hope Jordan Wynn can gracefully fade into the background. He is just too fragile to play at this level.

    @SportsCenter

It only seems like the 80's to you because BYU is playing a WAC-lite schedule.

According to reality this isn't the 80's we own you" 7-3 with 3 woodshed beatings.

  • TheSportsAuthority Arlington, VA

    Uteology

It's clear to any casual fan that Utah simply got lucky that BYU imploded with 7 turnovers. Utah wouldn't stand a chance of beating BYU if the two teams were playing this week.

    TheSportsAuthority,

Here we go again. This sounds so much like all the talk last year from BYU fans when we beat you at the end of the season. BYU fans and even the coaches were blaming it on dumb luck for the Utes. Give me a break. We've beaten you two straight times and the only wins you have to justify your claims of being better are against inferior opponents with losing records. The good news is the results still stand. We have a two year winning streak going against BYU and nothing any of you can say will take it away.
